Ordered this: Decflow 10L Stainless Steel Dog Water Bowl - for my 2 year old GSP who is generally a psychopath but also a very sloppy drinker. She was used to another splash less bowl that had broken over time so was able to drink from this one without any special training. This bowl came very well packaged in a branded box and wrapped with plastic to keep everything in good order. Came with two charcoal filter disks, but would like to know how to get more of them. From the images it is hard to tell what is silicone and what is plastic. The only part that is silicone is the mat, but it does add something to the design. It stops the bowl from sliding around and protects the floor from some of the post drinking drips. The top section is hard plastic and the floating portion is plastic as well. The center opening where the water comes through is smaller than the last one I owned, so drinking is a little slower and less messy. Finally I like the stainless steel bowl better than a plastic bowl, just seems easier to clean up completely. As much as I like the product if I was paying full retail I am not sure that it is worth $50, but after reviewing similar products on Amazon that appears to be the going rate. After having to throw the last two products I ordered away and write honest and informative poor reviews, it is nice to have a product that is as advertised and functions.

Finally a water dish which can prevent my 2 adult German Shepherds from leaving a flood on my floor every time they drink water. Both dogs adjusted to drinking out of the water dish easily. I was going back and forth debating purchasing the dish because it isn't cheap, but now I'm real happy that I did. Worth the cost.

First off this holds a large amount of water! With 2 large breed dogs, that in itself is worth getting this. At first, my one dog wanted nothing to do with it. I out it in the same place as their normal bowl, she sniffed it and walked away. So I had to take the lid off and the filter out. She got to it right away! I then put the filter portion back in, and again, it took her a bit to drink from it. Changed the water and assembled it completely. She’s still not sure about it, but she is drinking from it. My other dog took to it right away, so depending on the ‘fussibility’ of your fur baby, it may take a couple of days for them to get used to it. Once they do however they’ll be getting fresh, clean water that will reduce the amount of times you have to fill their bowls and cuts down on the mess of overflowing and messy drinkers.

I wish I would have ordered this bowl sooner. It was delivered yesterday and I set it up immediately - and just in this short amount of time, I can see how it's solved every problem I had with the water station setup for my dog and cats.- My dog is on the bigger side, therefore drinks way more water than a cat- My cats love to play in water, including open water bowls, and they create a mess- My dog doesn't really like drinking from the large pet water fountain, but he will when necessaryThis 10 liter bowl solves every water bowl problem.- The silicone base ensures that the bowl doesn't move at all (a full 10 liters is heavy anyway, but the lip in the mat ensures the bowl stays exactly where it it supposed to)- The floating disc allows free access to the water, but keeps cat paws out of the full depth of the bowl- The lid keeps splashes to a minimum - my floor has been completely dry since I set this bowl up yesterday- The large capacity is more than enough to ensure my dog has plenty of clean water at all timesThis bowl and mat are worth every penny.

This 10-liter XL dog bowl by DecFlow is a really great design. It has a floating metal shield that protects the water below from splashing out and chunks falling in. The size is just right for one 100 lb. dog for 2 days. That's the perfect amount, because after 2 days, the water is stale and needs to be changed anyway. This gives you the leeway you need to take a weekend trip without worrying about the dog's water. Add an automatic feeder and a dog door and you're good to go for 2 days. It's very easy to clean as well. The dish comes with a slip-resistant mat to keep your dog from pushing it around the room. The charcoal filter ring keeps the dog-bowl smell down and probably makes the water taste better. I really like it.The most important thing is, does the DOG like it? Because the most brilliantly designed pet supplies are worthless if our pets won't use them. And I can say without a doubt, that our big dog really likes this bowl. We can tell because he's drinking about 25% more water from this dish. It might even be a higher percentage, because so much water got spilled from the old dish; I just know we're pouring 25% more water into the new dish. So, it's very functional, saves on mess, and the dog really likes it. A++.

This is what every large dog owner needs. I have 2 large dogs who literally drink our entire previous bowl of water we used everytime I refilled it. I have used the gravity water bowls in the past and haven’t liked how moldy they get. I love the concept of this one with the floating pad in the center that helps prevent the water from splashing out.As soon as I set the new bowl out the dogs didn’t seem very interested in it. Over time as they got thirsty, one of my dogs has figured it out, but the other still hasnt entirely gotten the hang of it. She is slowing getting it as we are putting a treat in the center where she is supposed to drink so she can figure out there is water in the bowl. I’m hoping she will catch on when the other dog starts drinking. This bowl holds a lot of water so I will have to refill it less. It is very functional for what its trying to do. The only con is the cost. I would not pay in the $60 range for this as its literally just a stainless steel bowl on a rubber mat with a plastic island in the center of it. Aside from that I love this and hope my other dog gets the hang of it soon!
