This track saw square is fantastic. It came out of the box perfectly square and very easy to install. 5 stars

Works great. Attaches to the Wen track saw track without issue. Slides in the track slot perfectly and clamps on.Only drawback is the clamps are sort of stiff and snap into place. Other than that it works great at a great price.

Was not square. I used the wiggle room in the attachment screws to make the adjustment to make square, but the adjustable pieces just slid back into their original place upon attaching it to the track saw guide. It was mostly my fault for thinking I could purchase an accessory that requires so much precision at such a low price.I am now using it to hold down the bottom of a trash bag.

At first I thought it was not square BUT I was using a carpenters 24” square to check it. Turns out that too, built to build walls, was not square. Shame on me for thinking contractor tools are meant for maximum accuracy. They are made for building walls, not cabinets. Lesson learned. This device was dead on 90 degrees. A bargain.

Out of the box, this was not square with any of the multiple tracks I tested it with. There's not really a good way to make it square either. You can loosen the screws on the bar that is clamped against the track and try to adjust it, but it's very tedious. I eventually got it square enough for most woodworking use... only for the rather strong clamps to eventually pull it back out of square after being attached to the track a few times. Very frustrating. I think it's just a flawed design, having the bars that reference the track be a bit loose in the slot and then rely on friction from the screws to keep their calibration is just a bad design that was never really going to work out. There's a reason the expensive models I was trying to avoid with this more economical option are milled from a single piece of metal - nothing can go out of calibration. In the end, I can't trust this thing to do the one thing it's meant to do. Unfortunate, because it's otherwise well-made.

Very easy to use and extremely square. Super value compared to most competitors' prices.

This is just a first impression. Conclusion:Excellent value, very accurate, and perfectly usable with some care (like all tools, really). See below for things to look out for.Comments:Before attaching the square and before cutting, it's very important to make sure there is no debris anywhere two surfaces meet, like between the track and the square, and between the square and the reference edge of the work piece. It's a very good idea to run the saw with a vacuum. There may be a lot of variance in accuracy from unit to unit. The all-important rail is attached to the body with screws. All the name brand models are machined out of a single piece of aluminum. So, test yours when you get it.I have no idea how it will stand up to use. The clips or the rail that lines up against the track (not the T-slot rail) would be be the first to fail, and those are the most important components.Pros:My unit is dead accurate. I ran the 5-cut test and the error is within measurement limits (say, less than .2mm) over about a 50 cm square. (I didn't have a bigger scrap I could use.)It looks nice. The main body machining looks very good.Cons:It's a little fussy to use. The most important thing to look out for is to make sure the body of the square is pushed up against the track before clipping it on. Otherwise it may not be snug against the track, possibly even damaging the track. The hinge pins on the clip hooks are loose and can stick out and prevent the clip handles from being pushed down. The cutouts on the body for clamps are too small. The (laser-cut?) anti-tip tab has sharp edges and might scratch the work. It has already scratched the anodization on my square and possibly cut my finger (well something cut my finger). I'll probably clean it up with a file or abrasive stick. It's not at all a critical component so I'm not worried about it.

It was off by about 1/8” over 4ft.I tried to figure out why and I did.The small bar which serves no alignment function and only t-slot function to hold it in the slot is not milled completely and not flat. Had rounded tips. You can take a file or dremel to it. Better if you find someone with a milling machine.Take that piece off, clamp in a vise, and kill the edges. See red circles. They should have a perfect 90 degree shoulder. See green circle. Once this is done, it’s dead nuts square. To the manufacturer….you’re welcome. I just fixed your product and I hope you sell some more but please fix this.I also wouldn’t mind a royalty for fixing your product or at least identifying the root cause for you. Just saying.People, if you don’t wanna spend $$$$ and are ok with spending $ and a little bit of elbow grease it’s a great tool.
