The cartridge worked great for repairing a leaking cartridge in our kitchen faucet. Glad we were able to salvage our 18 yr old faucet by replacing with Gerber product.

This cartridge is in an outdoor faucet that I shut the water off and drain each winter but still have to replace this cartridge each spring because it leaks. The O-rings don't make it through the winter. Easy to replace.

Perfect replacement for my D457158 Danze faucet from 2009. The newer Danze faucet that replaces the D457158 is called "The Parma". Be sure to check that the original 3 O-rings came out with old cartridge when you replace the unit. Mine got stuck inside the faucet and they have to come out or the new cartridge won't fit properly because you'll have two sets of O-rings. They look exactly like miniature red Mickey Mouse ears - all 3 O-rings are connected. The old part number for this cartridge was A507348N.This valve works with far less effort than the original which was worn out and leaking. The set screw holding the handle in place on the valve requires a 2.5MM hex (Allen) wrench - took me a bit to figure that out. There is a small rubber plug in the bottom of the handle that must be removed to access the handle set screw.I cleaned all the parts in CLR and reassembled the locking ring and the outer trim ring with copper based never-seize compound to make removal down the road easier and put plumbers grease on the nylon knob on the cartridge - it was hard to pull apart after 8 years. Also, the locking ring required a pair of Channel lock pliers and you have to be careful not to mess up the threads on the adjusting/lock ring because the decorative trim ring threads on the outside of the adjusting/lock ring. So, I FINALLY fixed my occasionally leaking lavatory faucet, so happy that I was able to get this part delivered in a couple of days (Prime member) and installed it immediately. Works great, have had zero issues with it for a week now. So convenient, no trips to the hardware store. What's not to like?

Didn't work at all. It was the correct model and part (package from Danze "made in china") but this one I received wouldn't hold back the water at all and just the weight of the faucet handle would keep the valve open anyway. I was able to at least use the washer that came with it to use on the old cartridge I needed to replace. I now just have a drip rather than a very bad leak. I will replace the faucet to a more commercially available model. Danze is just too hard to find parts when you do need them.

4 rather than 5 stars because the action is not totally smooth...the handle has little "break free" moments that make small adjustments in water pressure less than smooth. This may not be a fair evaluation of this particular product as the issue could be related to the faucet.
