This is a replacement faucet stem for the original Gerber, which is a ceramic cartridge, while this one is plastic. Considering the ceramic one no longer stops the water, and this one does, I cannot complain. This one is also 1/3 the price of the genuine part, which is not easy to find.

I have replaced many stems over the years and this is the 1st on to leak after install. Clearly a bad product. Called manufacturer and they are sending a new on hope it works.

It is a direct replacement. Too bad the faucet design is lousy.

POS! The metal part breaks right away. Bought it twice and same issue both times. The most frustrating experience EVER!!! Desperately looking for the Gerber original part but to no avail. so, unfortunately, this is what you’re left with. I highly suggest purchasing a couple of these in case one doesn’t work.

Poor quality, very fragile. When installed had a 5 second drip. Tightened and the metal shattered, yes the metal not the plastic. Metal was so thin that I pealed it out the threads with a small pocket knife. Gerber parts are hard to find. Another one had the plastic shaft broken when person turned a little too hard.
