I bought these for a custom built power strip. The power strip works, but the switches do not light up. The wiring diagram is not entirely correct. I put a multimeter set on resistance on one side of a switch and it turns on and off just fine, but if I wire the switch according to the diagram for the light is on when the device is on, I get no reading at all. If I remove the jumper wire that makes the light come on when the device is on, the switch does not power on my connected device.Edit: Thanks to another review, I was able to get the switches wired correctly for AC power, and now they light up when turned on. The wiring diagram picture is for DC power only. For AC power use, your device's hot wire connects on one side, and the neutral to the other side. This way the light is powered when turned on.

Nothing real fancy, just a plain rocker switch that is easy to mount and lights up when on. Saves having to add a power light to projects

I have not installed these yet, but I can see they are well-made, easy to set up cutout holes for them, and they have a decent current rating. Very happy with purchase.

Just what was needed to repair a mastercraft air compressor. Inexpensive and were a direct replacement switch.

It's a switch and it works. I can't evaluate the light part of the switch, because my use is strictly to make my portable generator switch between "BONDED-NEUTRAL to FRAME" and "NON-BONDED NEUTRAL". Which means, I am switching the AC neutral on my generator from being bonded to ground (like normal electricity in your house; so I can use it with extension cords and portable stuff); and NON-Bonded to ground to I can connect the generator to my house electrical panel (via a transfer switch); because NEC requirements don't allow the neutral and ground to be bonded in MORE than 1 location. (Preferably the main service panel). And being the main breaker box service panel is bonded neutral-ground, I have to remove the neutral-ground bond on the generator. Thus, I am basically switch a ground wire on and off, thus no voltage, thus the light on the switch doesn't light. I could make it light if I wanted to, but it's not important to me.What is important, is that I have a switch that can handle 30 amps so if there is a circuit problem when using the generator, the fault can make it back to the circuit breakers on the generator and make them pop. If the switch is too low of a current, like a 15 amp switch, a fault could burn up the switch and the electricity won't make it back to the circuit breaker to pop it. Thus, I could have hot electricity still on the faulty circuit, or worse yet start an electrical fire. So for me, this is a great product. 30 amps and does what I need it to do.

i bought these because they are thirty amp, not ten, fifteen or twenty.i bought a 12volt power supply from amazon and the switch worked five times, then would not click on.so i shopped around and found these, strong durable click, and because the switch end snap clips are too thick, i just cut two of the spring clips off one side, made a slight notch, and then inserted the notch in the opening, and clicked the clips in the other side and it sits perfect, strong, and works just like original but better. original said fifteen/thirty... but the spring inside the original switch or the catch inside failed... these are thirty amp and i recommend, you will have to trim your mounting hole longer, or just remove two clips and it pops right in.

These switches have sufficient capacity to control a 1.8 HP compressor motor, and made a good replacement for mine, as shown in the photo, snapping into place with a perfect fit. The price very reasonable, too.
