The Legacy Da Vinci Twist Pen Kit requires one tube and utilizes a ballpoint twist mechanism that takes Parker-style refills. As one of our most unique and elegant pen turning kits, the Da Vinci is available is a variety of unique “antique” themed colors that are sure to enhance your collection!

The clips are made of cast metal of some type and cannot be adjusted to contact the pen. The pens are generally shoddy.

These pen kits look great, visually very nice. Assembly was a little tricky and finding specific instruction proved more difficult than it should have.The problem is function. The twist cap on the end is not well design with the internal mechanism. Getting the pen to turn can be difficult. That makes this kit not worth buying again.

I imagine the pen will be great as the quality seems to be good. A bit of an issue is that I can’t find a set of bushings for it. I don’t mind using my caliper but I bought a multi pack and it would be convenient to have a proper bushing set for it. If anyone can find a link or a compatible bushing, I’d gladly change my 3 star rating to a 5 star rating.

Quality control is lacking. Made four, all four had problems with the cartridges. Two were too long and one was too short, the last one was just getting stuck, in truth all did, when you retracked. Ended up having to use just a slight bit of very light grease on the mechanism. Have made lots of pens and this model has been the only one with issues. Outside looks nice and that is the only thing I can good about this. Even the instructions are lame.
