ここ最近、といっても5～6年前からのバンドレンの質の悪さに辟易してます。その点、リコのリードは品質が安定していて、ジャズセレクト同様に絶大な信頼を寄せています。グラコンの難点は吹いているとコシが弱くなってしまう所ですが、それを補って余りある吹奏感があります。個人的に青箱よりも少し暗めの音色になるのが気に入ってます。

I buy these for my son. He is in his 8th year of playing the Tenor Saxophone. He now pays for his own reeds and he personally chooses these. They are made well and last. My son is a music major and plays at school and when he comes home. These reeds really take a "licking".

Of the few that I've tried so far, excellent reed w/ great intonation, but a little bit sterile sounding--not quite enoughedge.

As a professional musician, I use Rico Grand Concert Select reeds on all of my instruments (alto and tenor sax, clarinet and bass clarinet) They are very responsive and easy to control, and work well in ALL octaves at ALL dynamic levels. I recommend these reeds to both my students and my colleagues.

My Freshman son said that compared to the other reeds that he has used these are very difficult to control. He found it irrationally hard to produce stable low notes.
