I really liked how strong and quick the pump worked, it turns on only for a brief moment, even with no vacuum in the system. I installed it on a 82 Vet with a large 310 duration camshaft. The vacuum was so poor, it’s not like it didn’t have power brakes, and the vacuum actuator headlights would pop up on their own. After installation of the pump, everything works perfect.

Purchased the item due to a big cam and living at high altitude 7500 feet with no vacuum for my brake booster. Unfortunately the pump would max out at 17” so not enough to trip the switch and turn it off. Worked with the manufacture but after weeks of dealing with it, nothing could be done. The 30 day return window is now closed and the manufacture has stopped responding to me. I now have a $350 paperweight. The manufacture needs to state in the description that this pump will not work at high altitude and stand behind their product.

I am still searching for a quiet vacuum pump. I am running this pump in my diesel van so it is burried deep under layers of seats, access panels, Insulation and hoses, so I guess i will keep it. Once i have time to remove it it will be sold. For a $300+ vacuum pump this leaves a lot to be desired. This pump was very easy to install, but The pump can be heard over the 4cyl Diesel at idle from over 50 ft away! When driving the pump is very noticeable up to about 2700rpms of 30 mph. If you are expecting a quite pump, this is not that.
