I looked at so many of these and saw this was one of the better priced ones. I didn’t realized that it didn’t include the shank or ball. Then I had to find those to order.Set up is a pain. Taking measurements and rechecking those measurements to see if what I was doing was correct. I found videos on YouTube that help show how to get this setup. For the most part, I feel a lot better and safe driving down the highway towing my travel trailer with this hookup than I do without it. There has been a wind gust or two that caught my attention but overall this hitch had been working pretty good. I can see wear on one of the brackets more than the other but judging from the wear, this hitch is doing its job of preventing sway.Using and installing the hitch each time I am towing is relatively quick. I saw some reviews about noise, but I don’t notice this to be noisy. The torques values seem to be high and you might not have a torque tool that goes that high when torqing the bolts. Also the I had to go to several place before finding at the tractor supply store a big enough socket for the bolts.

This device from Curt is simpler and easier to install than the older type sway bar units. My only drawback was it did not control the sway as well on a my longer (35’) and heavier trailer. I have it on a 28’ ft trailer now and it works well.
