I'm quite pleased with this case, very solid, well made. I've hesitated for several months due to negative reviews, so I bought prepared to be disappointed. It is very solid when closed properly, the latches are solid, the finish is flawless. Not a single negative thing to say about it.My custom guitar is not a Dreadnaught, but it fits well.

My Christmas present came early! I had been wanting one of these for a while since I traveled out west with one of my guitars. The factory case for my Taylor 414ce was dreadfully heavy and had to be gate checked (wouldn't fit the in the overhead storage). Through rough handling my guitar was jarred and I had to have the neck reset. A lighter more compact case that would fit onboard was in mind.I had purchase a Crossrock wood and tweed case for a Simon & Patrick parlor guitar previously (great guitar but comes in a cardboard box) and had my eye on one of the fiberglass flight cases.I made it a point to measure each of my guitars carefully so as to choose the right model. Measure twice. Write it down! Ultimately, I wanted a model for my Taylor 414ce and settled on the OM model. Consequently, it also fits my Martin 000-28, and a Martin 000-16 SR 12 Fret slotted head model (an odd guitar with narrow shoulders and a big lower bout). All of these guitars (plus my wife's 724ce) fit great into this case. The 000-28 did need the accessory padding included with case (pictured on the guitar). I've included pictures of 4 different guitars in the case, the accessory bag with backpack straps, the humidity guage, and the extra accessory padding. This is a well built case and beautifully crafted. I heard of complaints that the seam of the case fits wrong on the end pin. Not this one! A lined centered spot for the end pin corrects this problem.Another complaint is the smooth finish may scratch. Probably. All smooth surfaces scratch. That's what stickers are for! My Taylor and Martin factory cases have textured PVC which the stickers don't adhere to very well. I look forward to covering this thing with stickers.I can see replacing all my cases (someday) with Crossrock cases.Later: I managed to fit a Taylor 322ce, a Taylor Academy 12, and a Simon & Patrick Pro Folk Mahogany into the OM case and with the use of the accessory padding made a very stable fitment of these guitars!

I have a new '36 Gibson Advanced Jumbo, and the existing Gibson case does little more than protect against bumps and spills. I live in a hot, humid climate on the Gulf Coast, so temp and humidity control are a big deal for me and I just couldn't get it done with the stock Gibson case. I looked at many different cases, from Gator all the way up to Calton, but none offered the same degree of protection that the Crosscrock does at such a (relatively) low price. The key for me is that the Crossrock closes to a waterproof seal which means that though I’m not likely to drop the guitar in a lake, I can effectively keep out the damp and stabilize air temp and humidity inside the case. For example, after just one night in the case, humidity went from 58% (Gibson case) to 52% (Crossrock) using D’Addario’s Humitdrak system.Beyond this, the case is super sturdy, yet lightweight, and appears to be built to a high degree of fit, finish, and quality. I guess Amazon’s product photos are a little out of date, as the case now comes with a sturdy TSA locking latch, which I really appreciate for travel. The case also has a built in hygrometer, which honestly looks a little cheap and cheesy. And as I use my Humidtrak, I have no idea as to how accurate it is.Overall, this is truly excellent case at an outstanding price considering what you get. The case is generically designed for a D-28 style (square shoulder) dreadnought, though my slope-shoulder fits just fine, and there’s no wiggle or movement of any kind. My only quibble is minor -- as other reviewers have noted, there isn’t much space in the storage compartment; I was able to fit a few picks, a capo, headstock tuner, slide and string-winder, with the latter just barely fitting. Which is fine, except that there’s definitely no room for strings in any way, though I found there’s room under the head-stock for a couple of packs if you want to roll that way.In short, I think this is an outstanding product and great value if you’re in the market for its features. I highly recommend!
