They are sure cheap and are very flimsy looks like the bindings can break at any second. These skis are definitely only good for some backyard skiing not a resort or anything big at all.

Got these kids cross country skis for my 5 year old and they were perfect for that age. They fit well and they are light weight making it easy for her to use them. But that's also an issue the quality seems that they would not last long if your kid is hard on toys. They are fairly flimsy and feel like they will snap if to much pressure is applied. The bindings also have a pivot pint that I could see being an issue. But in the end for the cost they are a great option to get your kids outside and playing in the snow. Also a great way to get your kids moving and exercise!

My preschool-aged daredevil likes to try to stand on his sled to go down hills, so I knew he'd love trying out these skis. They aren't real cross-country skis by any means, but they are wide and come with poles. The bindings are adjustable, which is great for using them for several years, BUT the bindings don't release on their own, so be prepared to help your kids in/out, and don't let them go down any big hills on these where they could get hurt. The skis won't pop off! My son had fun sliding around the backyard though, so while I don't expect these to last for too long, they're fun for now. The current list price of $45 is still a bit pricey for what I would want to pay for this level of quality, however, so I'm only rating them as 3/5 stars.

The skis themselves are of the highest quality that I have seen in a wooden ski in a LONG time! The kit looks great as a whole -The pole are not sharp at the ends, yet effective and its a terrific setup for beginners. Excellent Value!

These training skis are great if you are trying to get your little one used to the feel of snow skis. I would not recommend these be used for actual skiing - they are ideal for backyard and/or unofficial fun. The bindings cannot release if your little one falls!! With skiing beginners need to have easily released binding to prevent risk of breaking bones during a fall - you want your skis to come off. These bindings have a strap attachment that would not release during a fall therefore best meant to fun versus actual sport. With all that said these perfectly serve the purpose that we got them for - getting our toddler used to the feel and weight of skis and boots. A great first step prior to learning to ski is simply getting familiar with the gear and for littles a big part of that is simply what it feels like with bulky boots strapped into longer skis. These are great for that! These will be fun for a couple of years because the toe part of the bind can be unscrewed and shortened or lengthened to accommodate different size boots.

These skis were super cute! They were perfect for my kids and were nice to use on the snow at our house! They were great for beginners and would be great for kids under 12. Love these skis and how much fun they were!

This little set of skis will be a lot of fun for my granddaughter as she learns to navigate how to use them. He dad was immediately trying to help her slide down a hill by their home, not realizing that these skis are referenced as cross country and would be more suited to the flatter lawn areas rather that the slopes, but where she lives there are more slopes than flat land so she is going to need to learn how to deal with both.I actually got the skies for her younger brother who is age 4, since they are shown as being a short, 25 inches long. I don't know why the error in the listing exists but these skis are much longer than that. Seem to be closer to 48", which is why my granddaughter was using them.Construction of the skis seems pretty basic but I expected that. The straps reach around her snow boot fine. The straps are made of nylon webbing and threaded through the bindings. These should handle quite a bit of force but this is the first point of failure that I would expect, more-so as there can be quite a bit of force applied and the grade of plastic gets stiff and becomes more brittle in the cold.I hope that these will last and provide them with some fun this winter and her younger brother after that..
