The noise from this fan is unbearable. It sounds like grinding gears and forget putting it on oscillate that's even nosier. It looks nice but works like crap!

This is an attractive fan but that is all. The oscillating capacity is dismal. The RPM is also poor. This item can barely generate a breeze in an outdoor application.

A recent kitchen remodel led to a new, built-in peninsula and loss of the old ceiling fan light fixture. I do a lot of home canning and appreciate a fan in the kitchen so the only alternative was a wall-mount model. We direct-wired this fixture to operate via wall switch and have found that the oscillating feature actually provides better cooling than what we had before. If you like a fan in the kitchen but hate ceiling fans, this is a good alternative. Style-wise, I have a "transitional" kitchen and it looks great. It's fairly chunky and heavy and would look nice in anything from a modern industrial design space to a workshop. I am most relieved and satisfied.
