Instead of using glues that break-down like other scrapers, the AquaBlade handles are v-grooved from the side and inserted into the head of the scraper during the injection molding process. Under thousands of pounds of pressure on the handle is fused to the head becoming a part of the molded piece. The AquaBlade is injected molded as a solid piece of plastic which keeps water from entering the unit while using. This means no hollow handles and drizzling of excess water when removed from the aquarium. And without trapped aquarium water inside the scraper it will never develop odors from growing bacteria. By utilizing virgin plastic in the molding process instead of re-grind or recycled plastics, the AquaBlade is much stronger and more agile than other scrapers. First.. I love this little scraper.. It fits my small hands and lets me reach behind the air tubes easily.. My older scraper has a long handle that gets in the way..ProCleans and scrapes SO well.. one pass and the glass is clean..Sharp metal blade Fits small handsCon..Yes, my arm gets wet.. LOLThis review is after my first use and I am very happy.. I can't speak about longevity, I will update the review if necessary, but so far so good :) I would buy it again..

I really like the small handle. It has a curve on one side which makes it easier to hold and use. I needed a smaller algae scraper for my 75 gallon tank so that I could maneuver around the filter and tubing. It is an excellent product. I would buy again.

Works okay on light build-up, but not on thick calcium build-ups from hard water, which is what I needed it for.

Does exactly what you want it to do which is cut right through tough algae and in my reef aquarium there is some and this thing rocks!
