This works well with my Makita Track saw. It's simple to attach and stays firmly in place without any play which is critical when trying to square up a cut. I do wish the recessed part that gets squared up against the wood was a little deeper and wider to make it simpler to get it flush against the wood, but once you get it set it is square. It is well engineered, well made and a good value for the price

If you're wondering - it fits the WEN rail no problem. Its square - seems durable. No issues,

I was told this product wouldn't fit my milwaukee track but it fits and works perfectly.Don't waste a couple $100.00 dollars on the original one when you can by this one at a fraction of the cost.

This have a large tolerance in the channel which results in the square not being square when you tighten it. You have to use a square to make it square. Then if you bump it at all or use too much pressure when lining up a cut it will knock it out of square. Ultimately takes more time trying to use it than it should save. Don't waste your time or money.

It's a good price for a cheap track saw square, but it has too much movement allowance even with the thumbscrews tightened down.

This is a solid guide capable of cutting 90 degree square rips. The first time I used it was off but I didn't connect it properly. The thumb screws need to be loose to fit in my Festool. If I tighten the thumb screws first then the clip, alignment is suspect. I have had better results by 1) loosening the thumb screws, 2) sliding in to position loosely, 3) using the cutouts around the clip to press/lift/pinch the guide to register the clamp side of the track against the lip on the surface of the guide (with my lefthand, see pictures), 4) tighten the thumbs screws (with my right hand) while holding the guide registered against the fence, then 5) clipping the latch mechanism. I suspect the alignment is affected by anti slip strips as they are soft and prevent free moving alignment from the thumb screws alone/first=.Couple other points:The clip drops to the bottom of the track lip and scratches it's way up - keep it at the top before you secure. The guide is a little small to maneuver a 55" track - get it close and pull it into alignment from the opposite end (don't push from the clamp end).My rounded Festool clamps worked fine. One reviewer said they couldn't use a clamp at the guide end but you just have to put the clamp in first, then the guide (see picture).Happy cutting!

First of all, I was nervous about buying something this cheap, but I couldn't justify buying the big name brand offerings. The fact that I've seen good reviews for some of their other items made it an easier decision for me. I'd put other import brand offerings in my cart before, but I never went through with the purchase because I just couldn't trust those products. This brand / model wasn't available when I shopped for a track square in the past, or it didn't come up in my searches. Anyway, this thing is true to square as best as I can tell. I attached it to my Makita track and used a Woodpecker square to test how it aligned to the track, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was perfect. It will be a little while before I will be able to really test it out when cutting down panels, but I will update this review if my opinion changes. For those wondering if there is room for a clamp between the square and the piece being cut, My clamps work fine in it. My clamps do not have a gradually bent frame where it meets the t-slot of the track. They have two pieces of steel welded 90* to one another, so there is no inner arc of the bend to get in the way. It's hard to explain. Look up the Powertec 71423 track saw clamps to get a better idea of what I'm talking about. The reason I say I would give it a 4.9 star rating instead of 5 stars is simple for the locking clasp. It's a good mechanism, and it does it's job well, but it would be nice if the end that hooks the track would stay up and out of the way as you are attaching the square to the track. As it is, it gets in the way as you are sliding the square onto the track. It's not a big deal, but just a spot I can see room to improve.I've been let down many times by buying cheap tools to save a buck. This is especially true when it comes to things that are supposed to have a certain level of precision. I have a mix of top brand tools and cheap tools. If it weren't for the top brand tools giving me the ability to test and confirm the accuracy of the cheaper tools, I would never be able to trust the cheap tools. I recommend that if you are going to be buying cheap alternatives to the high precision tools, at least buy a couple of quality tools with which to test the cheaper tools with. This track square is a keeper, that's for sure.
