Best lock I have found yet. I feel safe leaving my bike using this lock

This lock works well and is reasonably easy to use; however it was too short for my purposes (my fault for not reading specs) and the strap that holds the lock in place on the holder broke on the first day, making the holder useless. I’m replacing it with a decent 6’ cable lock which is what I should have bought in the first place.

The worst part of this lock is the installation. It has ridges, so you would think it would lock in place as you place the screw. This is not the case. You have to continuously pull on the plastic straps as you screw in the locking screw. If you lose your grip, it pushes the plastic apart and gets loose. Not to mention the screwdriver is set up the wrong way, making it harder to screw it into place. If they would fix the installation mechanisms, it could be a good lock.

This is a nice product. The little case is easily attached to the bike. The lock is sturdy and easy to use. The lock came with 3 keys (more than expected). It would be nice if the little carry case had a spot to store the key so you don't need to remember to bring it. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the purchase.

I got myself a secondhand beach cruiser for cheap that Im restoring and of course bike theft came to mind. I live currently in a small town where theft is around more than folks realize. So I found this one which was affordable and I felt would give some security. Now the question is will this lock work? For petty thieves yes, for the more serious thieves? No, of course not. To be fair though a serious thief will break through any lock you throw on, even the more expensive ones. This lock I see it more as to keeping your bike secure while you go into a store or restaurant for a few mins but not for locking up your bike overnight outside. Which mine will be inside my apartment or inside my work place were I dont have to worry as much. The lock itself seems well made and comes with three keys and the hardware to mount the holder to your bike. When mounting I was confused at first how the bands were to get tight as I couldn't pull them tight enough but when I noticed the screws it uses it made more sense. You'll go ahead and pull the slack out of the band when mounted to the bike frame and then apply the screw. Once its in all the way it will act as a hose clamp with a screw and tighten the band the rest of the way. My suggestion though is to throw the included tool they give you aside. Its a nice one so keep it as its a Phillips head screwdriver and Allen wrench in one but it'll more than likely round the screw head. So find a proper Phillips size that fits in it snug. Then simply cut the excess strap off.It looks great on my bike and makes it easy to store the lock when not in use. The lock itself has a nice hard plastic coating so it shouldn't scratch up your bike and has a dust cover you slide to access the key hole.Overall its a great lock and should work within proper use. Again it should stop petty would be thieves but not much will stand in the way of a professional thief on a mission. So I highly recommend this lock and also check with your local police and see if they have a bicycle registration list you can put your bike on. Then if it does unfortunately happen to get stolen, there is a higher chance you'll get it back!

I have a dual suspension bike with not a lot of room for extra accessories on the frame, e.g. bottle cage, pump. A U-Lock definitely would not have worked. I was unaware that these folding bike locks even existed, but when I found this one I decided to give it a try. The installation on the bracket to the bike frame was quick and easy, locking and unlocking was smooth and the feel of the lock is super sturdy for its size. The only issue I foresee is that the band that secures the lock to the bracket is made of rubber, which may degrade and become brittle, eventually cracking off.

Compact lock, folds smoothly, doesn't rattle, feels well built and decent quality. Not very long but does its job. Lighter weight / duty than some of the longer models that are heavy but similar length.

I use this on my Hiboy electric scooter, so my review should be read with that perspective in mind.Let’s start with the pros. Convenience and size matter. This lock is compact and can be affixed to the stem of my scooter without being intrusive; it’s easy to access from its holster when I need it thanks to a quick release design. The lock is about as strong as any I’ve ever used; it’s not going to break and seems practically impervious to any attempt to bend, snap or cut.The cons are that it’s completely inflexible and doesn’t conform well to the contours of the scooter (or bike or whatever you’re trying to secure). This can be a problem if you’re trying to lock something that’s a little bulky.I’d recommend this for items with smaller frames or that can be parked directly against a rack or pole since it’s range is limited.
