This shirt fit well and was comfortable during our fishing trip. It has good sun protection and was loose enough to move while casting and reeling

Great shirt for sun protection. I found it fits a tiny bit small so returned the large and bought the XL The large is great when standing but gaped a bit when sitting. The quality is excellent and cheaper than on the Columbia website

I wanted a shirt I could wear in the sun but this shirt does not fit to size. Fits very big and the arms are very loose fitting. Not sure I would recommend or buy again.

The other reviews were right, it is made large. You may need to order a size down if you’re looking for a flattering or a fitted look. But other wise it’s a great sun protection shirt. I would like to order other colors.

See my other review for this style of shirt. Bottom line its a great shirt. In white is is a little sheer, but it's nice to have a white shirt when I am travelling.

Material is thicker than expected. Good for gardening in Miami Heat but wish it was thinner material.

I ordered this shirt after a trip to a state park convinced me that I'm totally outdoorsy. I'm more of an "outdoorsy in that I like getting drunk on patios" person, but I aspire to be more outdoorsy. I didn't wear it for like 3 months, but then I wore it kayaking and working on my aunt's farm, and then hiking in the Olympic mountains. It does fit kinda big, but it's beyond me why you'd want to wear a form-fitting shirt to hike or kayak. I'm really impressed by the quality of construction, the rubbery buttons seem indestructible. When I kayaked in it, I was pleased that little splashes dried up or ran off so quickly I didn't feel wet. The vent in the back is awesome and really helps you feel cool, especially with the white color. After the kayaking I wore it to pick and wash vegetables. I was FILTHY. To the point where my aunt felt bad that I was wearing my new shirt and offered to replace it because she was sure I'd ruined it. I said, nah, it's for outdoor stuff anyway, who cares if it's a little stained, I'll look more legit, like I've worn it more than once. I washed it and it came 100% clean, not a trace of the massive amount of dirt, along with beet and chard juices I got on it.I wore it a couple weeks later to go hiking. It was the perfect choice. It kept me cool and dry on the hot lower part of the climb, and my phone (GS 7, the regular one not the explodey one), a little cash, i.d. and keys fit in the pockets so I didn't have to put anything in a backpack. I love that the pockets shut so securely. It has a little loop you could attach a carabiner to under one of the pockets, but I didn't really need anything dangling off my boob. I unrolled the sleeves and buttoned them up and layered it under my windbreaker for the cold, windy summit - I was glad to have sweated into this on the climb and had it evaporate so I wasn't wet and cold. It's super versatile and practical. I now get why dudes wear fishing shirts to work sometimes, this is so comfortable.

The bank sign said it was 100 degrees in Denver yesterday, and I wore this shirt with the sleeves rolled up. I will say that it really helps in the heat. The vent in the back lets the air through, it wicks away the sweat, and is light enough material so that it doesn't feel hot or heavy. It's a great layer between myself and the sun.I bought an XL, because I am 5'9", 215lbs, wear a size 16 pant, and am fairly busty. Lots of room in the arms, which is sometimes hard to find in outdoor clothing for me. The bust is almost perfect, I still get a little bit of the button tugging, but it's not too bad.I'd say overall the shirt is a little looser fitting than I was expecting, because I find the outdoor clothing usually runs a little small. If you prefer tight-fitting shirts, I might suggest you order a size down. I like my shirts a little looser though.Strongly recommended, especially for my thicker soul-sisters that are looking for some high quality hiking/camping shirts.

I have two of an older style and two of the newer. There are slight differences between the two. One that I recall is that my older shirts have the ability to open up the shirt under the armpit and the newer ones do not. However, the general fit and feel of the shirts is the same.I do not fish, so can't speak to their utility for fishing. I sunburn easily and dislike the smell and feel of sunscreens, so I never go out in the summer without taking one of these shirts along. You would think that wearing a long-sleeved shirt out in the summer heat would be a miserable experience, but it's really not bad. These shirts are very loose and have a large mesh back panel covered by a back cape section. They breathe well and of course, a lot of the heat from the sun's rays bounces right off the white fabric. They look good and are suitable for almost all occasions. I wear them to the office over a polo shirt and have been complimented several times on my pretty shirt! Stains come out easily. They are great for traveling because they weigh very little, you can wash them in the sink and have them basically dry by morning. They have large velcro front pockets which allow me to keep my glasses with me when riding roller coasters, etc. instead of having to leave them in a bin. I simply remove my glasses at the last moment, tuck them away and bring them back out at the end of the ride. I have similar shirts from LLBean, but they are not quite as good: they are cut more snugly while I prefer this roomier fit and one of the Bean shirts has picked up a stain that will not come out. I've had the older two Columbia shirts for years and haven't had that happen yet!

Would have 5 Stars, but the sizes run small. My brother wears a 2XL to 3XL, but had to buy a 4XL for him. This one was for the wife and she loves it. Doesn't look like a men's shirt at all, so they did a great styling job. The styles look alot better than the pictures on here and they hang perfect, without too much material bagging out at the bottom, which is some rare styling not seen in men's shirts these days. Can't go wrong, as I've been wearing one of these since 1999 and it still looks great.
