I was looking for a warm winter jacket to keep me warm and dry as well as not look out of place from the slopes to the city. So far this jacket checks all the boxes. I am 6'3'' about 215 and the XL fits perfect. I can comfortably wear this over a sweatshirt without feeling too bulky or having my movement restricted. The length in the arms and waist are long enough where they don't ride up on me when I raise my arms or take the inevitable tumble in the snow. I love the all black look and design of this jacket as it really fits in anywhere. The hood is great and fits over a helmet perfectly. The omni heat design keeps me warm and the pockets are plentiful and easily accessible. If you are looking for a solid all around winter jacket this Columbia jacket is a great option.

Great jacket for winter activities! I love that this jacket has an elastic internal waist band that lets you seal the inside from upward wind. The inside also has a sliver thermal lining that looks pretty retro but also works really well in capturing body heat. The hood also works great with hats and snowboarding helmets. The only issue I have is the internal pockets are just a fish net lining but other than snagging on my keys occasionally it's not an issue.

Overall, I love Columbia products, so when I saw this jacket online, I knew that I really wanted to try out the jacket. Although I don't ski, I spend a good amount of time outdoors in the winter and this jacket is very thick and warm and will be great this winter season. I ordered the mountain/navy blue color and I love the contrast between the two colors of blue. There are tons of pockets and the hood is very roomy. The jacket is long and goes past my backside and I'm 6'4" tall. The lining on this jacket is Omni-Heat (silver) and it's a great technology that I've had on other Columbia jackets. As far as the quality, it's super high quality as far as the materials, stitching, and design. Overall, I'm totally happy to have this jacket and it's definitely going to be my go to jacket this winter. This has been such a hot summer it's hard to imgaine wearing this jacket right now, but come winter, I'll be nice and toasty in this great Columbia jacket. I highly recommend this jacket.

I ordered this Columbia Men's Shotski Jacket to wear when skiing and participating in other snow activities. The jacket looks great (Mountain Blue/Collegiate Navy color) and the size medium fit is perfect for me (5'11", 175 lbs, 34" waist) - not too tight but not too loose. All the zippers are very heavy duty, and the sleeves have velcro closures. Most important - this jacket is really warm in the snow, thanks to the waterproof outer shell and Omni-Heat reflective inner lining. It's very handy that there are lots of pockets to store things. My only criticism of this jacket is that the hood is not detachable, nor is there the ability to roll it up and velcro-strap it into the neck collar (like you can on some other jackets). But despite this shortcoming, this is a top-of-the-line jacket which I love wearing when out in the snow. Two thumbs up.

Jacket had two zippers about 15 inches long on each side. No definite pockets. It was weird and awkward. A jacket with pockets are much easier to use. Jacket was returned.

This jacket is thick and warm and definitely made for low temperatures. It's not super breathable, since it's waterproof, but I'm not getting drenched in sweat or anything. I haven't had a chance to take it out into snow yet, but I did run a sleeve under the faucet, and the water just runs right off, so it is indeed waterproof! Also, I fell into the medium category in the size chart, and the medium fits me well for a fit that isn't too bulky but still allows for some layers underneath.Some of my favorite features are:-A hood shaped to be able to fit a helmet underneath, but still looks and fits nice without a helmet.-A snow skirt (inner elastic that keeps snow from getting in the jacket if you fall)-Inner mesh pocket is big enough for ski goggles.-There's a small pocket at the end of one of the sleeves, which is neat for a ski pass or even just keeping small items like Chapstick in.-It's long enough (for an average guy) to not look awkwardly short when it's pulled up by having a helmet on.-I like the non-shiny look this jacket material has compared to some other waterproof jackets.My dislikes:-Both front pockets are oversized with long zippers, which is awkward if I just want to grab a phone from the pocket or something. I wish it had one oversized pocket (nice for if you have gloves on) and one regular sized pocket.-The area around the top of the zipper isn't very comfortable against skin when the jacket is zipped fully and there's no helmet on to pull it up around the face. It just kind of jabs under my chin instead.

This is a nice men’s jacket for winter. The fit is good with the length being not too long and not too short. The sleeves are the right length as well. The construction of the jacket appears to be good. The only things I didn’t love were the pockets and the large logo in white font on the hood. The pockets at the front zip all the way up to the chest, which is a little odd. Otherwise, the jacket is very nice.
