Waterproof
Fabric has been treated with waterproof coating, good for rain and sun blocking at the same time, need to tilt the shade sail in low-high position to prevent polling water during installation.
98% UV Blocking
Blocks up to 98% of harmful UV, significantly reduce the temperature and UV sunlight in shaded area during summer time, ideal for patio, swimming pool, balcony, carport etc. Breathable fabric allows water and air to go through freely, no pooling water in rainy days, resistant to both UV and water, no maintenance needed.
How to Measure
- Shade sail's measurement should be taken from corner to corner.
- Approximate how much area you want to shade. Locate 4 mounting points, they can be roof, trees, poles, wall, etc.
- Take measurement of the 4 mounting points, leave 0.5 ft to 1 ft space for the hardware kits between the shade sail and the mounting points.
- Install the hardware kits on 4 mounting points, make sure they are in high-low position, so the water can run off, prevent pooling water.
How to Install
- If the space between shade sail and hardware kit is more than 1 ft, use cable wires as extension, to connect the shade sail to the hardware kits.
- Install the shade sail, connect the D-ring to the hardware kits or cable wires.
- Adjust the turnbuckles to create tension.
- Make sure they are in high-low position, so the water can run off, prevent pooling water.
Curved Edges
Edges are made slightly curved based on precisely calculated radian, helps shade sail to stay tight and neat after installation, prevent shade sail from sagging in the middle for best appearance and performance. If you prefer straight edges please let us know.
Reinforced Edge
All edges are constructed with heavy duty double layered reinforced stitched seams, prevents frayed edges and out of shape.
Rust Free D- Ring
D rings are attached to each corner for easy installation, made of 314 rust free stainless steel, bigger and stronger, corners are constructed with extra amount of stitched seams to maximize the strength of D rings.

We use these only for a few months in the summer and we have had them four years now. They look the same as the day my husband put them up. Easy to take up and down and they store beautifully. Recommend highly.

We decided to try a sun shade as a temporary solution to see if keeping the sun off the front window made a difference in the temp of the house. It provides very good shade (surprising for not being very thick). The edging and corners seem sturdy and have been holding up to rain and medium winds. I'll include here that as others have noted its 8 x10 TO THE CORNERS & it's designed to be stretched, so the main part of the shade isn't a full 8x10. This didn't bother us, as we knew what to expect and didn't have a fixed area to cover. Also it DOES NOT include the hardware to install. Make sure you buy some sort of a it - we opted for another kit on Amazon since we didn't need the cording.It is NOT waterproof (see picture) but it IS water resistant. If you don't have the shade at an angle where the water runs off, the water pools up and then drips thru the shade meshing . I find it drips thru more at the folds from shipping. Again, this is a bummer (and a lack of planning on our part to get the angle right) but was not a deal breaker for us since we didn't intent it as a permanent/ year round/sit underneath solution.Overall I'm really happy and yes, it shades the front window well and reduces the temp in the house by almost 10 degrees!

This shade sail is pretty straight forward. Made of lightweight material that provides very effective shade. We have it strung over our pool. It has tolerated strong winds and heavy rains. Time will tell regarding durability and UV resistance, but I like it enough I will be ordering a second one.Follow-up after 15 months - We use this sun shade to cover the shallow end of our pool during the hottest time of the year here in South Florida. So it is up for about three months from around the middle of June until September. It helps keep the pool cooler, and makes for a much more pleasant swim experience when the sun is high. The tarp still looks good, no mold, mildew or algae, and I see no evidence of deterioration.In heavy rain it does collect some water, but it passes through pretty quickly. I inserted a large grommet in the center to assist with drainage, but it doesn't seem to help much.Get this tarp, you won't be disappointed.

We strung this up overlapped with a second one under our pergola over our patio. It works very well as a bright sun shade with no burning.We had to buy the correct lengths of aircraft wire at Home Depot and a few extra karabiners to the purchased package of installation gear. The supplied screws would have been more useful if the had been wood screws.

Colour is beautiful. It gave good shade and repelled most water. So dripping after a while. Unfortunately size won't work for our space.

I purchased this as an alternative to a large offset umbrella because I wanted more coverage, and wanted to be able to hang outdoor lights as well. This canopy works great for the purpose - dilutes the sun and looks nice. I didn't see any installation instructions so I looked up a tutorial on YouTube. I followed those instructions, but my canopy sags, despite my measuring and re-measuring. We'll have to move the 2 of the anchor spots so the canopy can be pulled taut, but even with the sagging it looks ok. I purchased a second of these in a different size for a separate location so they will match and look nice. Great value for the money. Knocking off 1 star on installation for there being no instructions.UPDATE: My husband moved the anchor points on the side of the house to stretch it and it no longer sags. It looks really good still - has been up for almost a year - and lasted through the winter weather (heavy rain, heavy wind gusts, some freezing nights). We purchased a hanging kit on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MXZUU6X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1), looked up hanging instructions on You Tube, and voila! The rain does go through the fabric though, so this is a true SUN shade, not a waterproof rain cover.
