I needed a square shade for my 12x12 foot pergola, and this does it perfectly. I wish they had included tie-down lines with the shade.

This seems well made, colour is bright but I am afraid it will need adjusting and tightening as the fabric is heavy. After less than a week it’s gone from tight to saggy in the middle. I will be looking for a different fabric, this one is a heavy but loose weave of some type of plastic material.

I ordered the standard 16’ x 16’ which was less expensive than the custom size 16’x16’ which was odd. Didn’t know what to expect but it is tarp material that you get at Home Depot but honestly I paid $159 for this size in a cool red color and I’ve paid made twice as much through out the years replacing the tarp to cover this awning . It was easy to set up glad I bought the cables as I just didn’t have to put a lot of thought into it. That said this isn’t some beautiful sail nylon smooth material it’s woven material like the blue or brown tarps. It’s worth it for me that I get the right size coverage and don’t have to mix and match from Home Depot boring color choices.

Our has been up for a couple months now and the only thing we have noticed is that it has stretched quite a bit so when we open our door it now rubs against the shade sail.

This has been a game changer for my back porch. The sun hits our porch more then half the day. It blocks out the sun just enough to still have shade but still see. It does not keep out the heat. I love the sand color. Definitely takes 2 people to hook up. We used wires that we used for a previous canvas shade with hooks on the end.Great buy and deal!

The sail is quite easy to install provided you have the proper hardware. The sail is concave in shape on all 4 sides, meaning you lose about a foot on each side in the middle relative to the corners. The quality is very good for the price. So far it has held up to a few heavy rain and windstorms. It does stretch a bit so it does need to be tighten after a while to keep the sail taunt. It does block out the sun very well and we noticed it is quite cooler under the sail because of this. It is not waterproof and rain does seep through.

I have a two story boat dock. I had a triangular sail until this year when I replaced it with a 12' x 12' square sail. This gives much more shade and lowers the temperature. The sail arrived in 2 days and was what I expected. Due to the curved sides the sail is less than 12' at the center which I expected. Unfortunately my dock is rectangular and the mounting posts had to be installed at the corners for stability. Ideally the sail should be mounted to posts arranged in a square to equalize the tension on the sail. Getting the sail tight presents difficulties in my configuration, but was solved using heavy duty turnbuckles and chain rather than rope at each corner. The sail is tight without sagging and the reinforcement of the edges and the built in "D" rings make it possible. This is a well made and if the previous sail is any guide highly durable. As for the triangular sail...It will be installed over a small deck attached to my house. Both products are highly recommended.
