This cold brew maker is a space saver in the fridge, looks attractive, and works well. I keep it in the fridge and make cold brew a few times a week with it.

This little carafe (the 5 cup one), is really well made with stainless steel and borosilicate glass. The stainless is used for the cap as well as the steeper. The only other material used is rubber for sealing the carafe. The steeper is a nice stainless mesh that is very similar to a small tea steeper I've used for years. It works great for tea, and keeps most of the leaf dust out of the tea as well. I've not used it for cold brew yet, but I assume it will be similar. The carafe is well made and looks nice. The rubber has a cutout for pouring without removing the steeper or cap, and it can be turned around to completely seal the carafe as well, which is a nice feature. The stainless top is a press fit into the steeper. You do need to hold the steeper in place to remove this cap, otherwise you'll pull the whole steeper out with it.It's overall very nice and easy to use, but there are two issues. First, the minor issue of the printed cup gauge on the side, the number of cups does not line up to the dot mark for the cup markings. The metric markings do line up, so for basically the entire world except the US, it's fine. Just be aware that, except for the top dot for 5 cups, every other dot is above the number printed on the side. The second issue is that you cannot use this carafe to make less than 2 or 3 cups of cold brew or tea, because the steeper does not extend to the bottom of the carafe. I've only made tea in it so far, and for that, you have to have at least two cups to reach the steeper and cover the tea. For cold brew, which needs more coffee grounds than you'd need leaves for tea, I would guess you'd need to use at least 4 cups to cover all of the grounds.Other than those two things, I do wish they had included some cold brew recipes. I have some from online, but they vary widely and I've never made cold brew before. It would be nice to have some recipes that are known to work with this setup. There were no instructions included at all in fact, not even care instructions. I will assume everything is dishwasher safe based on the materials, but it would be nice to know if the borosilicate is microwave safe.Overall, it's a good setup, but the printing on the carafe could be fixed, the steeper needs to be longer, and there needs to be some instructions.

It works for ice coffee, hot coffee and iced/hot tea. It's not like a drip maker where you can only make one cup, though. You have to make about 4 cups or nothing. Infusion times for hot coffee and tea will vary by taste, of course. Pouring in hot or cold water as well as pouring out your beverage is easy. The opening is designed well for this.I like the size because I only make about 4 cups at a time and that's also what my Thermos holds. My only complaints are that that the stainless steel filter basket doesn't like to hang perfectly straight and the glass feels a little thin. These are purely aesthetic, though. No effect on function. Thicker glass (as thick as a Pyrex measuring cup) would been really nice, however.

I'm a sucker for a good borosilicate pitcher, and this one is my new fav! It is tall and narrow, making it perfect for keeping on my desk while I am working. I use mine for brewing teas, and I love sipping on them while I work, so this is perfect for me. I feel like a fancy scientist when I use it! The filter is surprisingly easy to clean, and the glass is very sturdy and well made.
