I added this to the end of a hose to connect a 60L soda machine CO2 cylinder to the soda machine. This allows me to keep the cylinder outside of the soda machine. Some machines, such as the Phillips and Aarke brands require you to turn over the machine or flip it sideways to remove and screw in a new CO2 tank. This allows me to keep the tank outside the machine safely strapped to the wall. This makes it so I never have to turn the machine over to change CO2 tanks. This item is exactly what is says it is. I did not have good luck with similar, almost identical item I purchased on Amazon previously.The only thing I don't really like about it is that the 8mm quick connect male post is welded or painted in, making it almost surely impossible to remove to change or replace if needed. I am not sure about the CO2 gauge but I am afraid to test that in case it were to cause a leak. Ideally they should both be removable. Also, for the price you pay this item should at least include an extra gasket -- it does not. When taking these factors into consideration, it is overpriced.
