For 40 something bucks I wasn't expecting much. But when I actually got it, it blew my mind how much work actually went into it. Yes it has carbon content in the steel. First thing I did was pull the blade out and it makes that wonderful sound! 5/5

Bought to place in a holster going down your spine for cosplay. It’s small, but that’s what I wanted because I’m only 5’3. Worked perfectly for what I was going for. Great detailing.

It says that the blade length is 28 inches. It is actually around 26 inches. It is like a mini sword.

Well made, and the steel used is of a higher quality then most at this price point. I sharpened it on a belt sander, and had some decent sparks coming off, which indicates a higher carbon content then I had expected. As well craftsmanship on the sheath is worthy of being displayed.

This was purchased as a prop in a school play but it is much too dangerous to take to school. Please be aware that it is heavy, sharp, and pointy. Do not purchase it for a child! I’m not really sure what to do with it at this point…

This is a really cool sword for someone who just wants it for a costume or for fun. The blade, hand guard, and pommel are metal. The grip is black plastic but it does seem sturdy. The sheath is plastic but must have some metal in it because it does make the fun sound when you take it out. The tip of the sheath is also a painted plastic. The wrapping on the sheath is faux leather and I’ll probably replace it but it would probably be just fine. It came in a large box with a smaller one in it. The blade isn’t sharp and you can grip it but I wouldn’t give it to a kid. You probably could sharpen it if you wanted. China is etched into the base of the blade on one side but it’s not too horrible and could probably but ground out. I would absolutely recommend this to someone who just wants a sword!

Item arrived in a timely manner and in good shape, plus appears as advertised. The item is sturdily built with no loose parts, and the blade came semi-sharpened. The length of the item would put it more into the class of a short sword than dagger, and it has the appearance of a small long sword with its narrow blade. I am pleased with the item.
