We bought our Cerwin Vegas in 1998 and they have been fantastic but have disintegrated over the last 22 years, we are emotionally attached 🙂. These worked great, easy to install and minimal cost (a little tedious cleaning the old ones off the speaker). Totally worth the time. A fun Saturday morning project to do with my husband and now our speakers sound amazing again.

I did without a quality sound system in my living room for quite some time, while I paid off debts and got life restructured. When the time was right, starting in late 2015, I started making the change to all newer tech: flat screen, Alexa, Denon amp with Atmos 7 channel, added side speakers into my sound system, etc. When I first played the new amp, I heard a problem; the woofers on my Cerwin Vegas had dry rotted in the years of non-use. I researched it and it looked fixable. This kit was perfect for my model; the only hesitance was the size, so make sure you take a good measurement of main speaker and follow the instructions to the letter. This product WOULD get a 5 star rating except for ONE thing, and this is what other reviewers said too: they don't send enough glue/adhesive. It is true. If you're not going to buy some additional glue at a hobby/craft shop before you start the process, KNOW that you have to apply it like it's scarce, or you will get halfway through the second speaker and start worrying if you're going to run out. Apply it thinly and it should be enough. I made it without buying more and it works perfectly now, but it worried me, just like I said. Buy some extra BEFORE you start if that's an issue. My Vegas sound like new again, and they rock out. Been well over a year since the repair, and I forget that I ever had to do it. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, and you'll have no problems. Peace & rock.

Great instructions and good quality material, but it didn’t have the best fit to the cone. It seemed like it was maybe 0.5-1.0 cm too big in circumference, which didn't allow the same foam-to-cone surface area that the original had.

It was pretty challenging based on what "other people" said. I just followed the instructions as written. Both speakers are re-assembled now. I will take them back with me to my mothers house to see if they work. However, if they don't work it is because I did something incorrectly. This is a fairly complex setup and all steps need to be followed exactly as stated. I hope I did all correctly. I will let you know.2018I did in fact take them to my mother's house, and did in fact reinstall them into the speakers. The reinstallation took less than 5 minutes. They work PERFECTLY. I am so glad that I following the instructions to a 'T".....no shortcuts.....just follow the rules. WOW is all I can say. It works. I saved myself $125-$150 to just replace the woffers. Many more $ if I replaced the entire speaker set......
