This review is for Carbide Ball Nose End Mills-4 Flute TISIN Coated,for Milling Alloy Steels, Hardened Steel, Metal etc.1 Pcs R2x50mmThis is a 4mm diameter ball nose cutter, overall length 2"/50mm. The TiSIN coating is designed to allow cutting of hard materials with little or no lubrication or cooling. It can also be used on aluminum. The mill is well finished with no observed defects.I had not used this coating before, so I tried this on some 304 stainless plate, forming a round over on an edge, no cooling - just some air to blow off chips. It worked well at a higher feed rate than I would usually use. I also made a concave slot on some 60661 and that also worked well, although the finish was not perfect, probably a tool path problem on my part.This is a very low priced cutter that performs very well due to the high performance coating.If you need a 4mm ball nose cutter, pick this one up and try it. You may be surprised at how ell it works with no cooling or lubrication.
