This is a simple but very effective battery strap. It seems to be very well made and looks like it will hold up fine. I like having this available because sometimes I have a hard time lifting the batteries out of the tight space in my boat and occasionally out of my pickup. I'll keep this in the truck so I'll have it regardless of where I need it. The clamping mechanism does a very good job of holding onto the battery post.

This works, but needs at least one hole to be a slightly larger diameter. I had to work it over the positive post of a new AC Delco battery. I also don't care the retainer that pushes against the post, although they do hold securely. In younger days I worked at two marinas and handled many batteries during winterization and spring prep. The battery carrier on use had oblong holes that gripped under tension and released when slack, but those seem to be obsolete now. They were much easier to use, but this works for the limited us this will get at home.

I leave my RV battery on a charger for the time it's not being used on the RV. So I have to carry it to the RV and back when I use it. This strap makes it much easier to carry if your battery does not have its own carry strap. Mine does, but many do not. It clamps onto the posts and securely locks on to the battery when carrying. It obviously will not work on side-post batteries.

This is a good tool, owing to the fact some battery manufactures do not put handles on their batteries, this become necessary, diagonal place terminals work great. It will also work with the terminals one side of the battery, a bit awkward but it works.
