There are basically no real technical specifications for these glasses listed by the seller, so I took a chance and did a quick test with a UV flashlight as a sanity test. I used an LED “UV” flashlight (which isn’t really UV, but is about 405nm to 415nm purple) and a visible wavelength light meter. Not super accurate, but just a sanity check. These glasses reduced the transmission from 115 Lux to around 2.5Lux, for about a 98% reduction. If you speak in optical density terms, this is an OD 1.7 at this wavelength. Again, this is no guarantee they really block all the UV they claim to, but the result of my test is very promising, and I’ll trust these glasses.They also look a lot like the orange laser safety glasses that came with my blue diode (445nm) laser engraver (which also weren't that great). However, these are NOT laser safe. An OD of 1.7 is nowhere near close enough to protect your eyes in that situation. So, if you’re trying to substitute these for a real pair of laser safety glasses, then don’t. When you look through them, you can still see blue and green colors clearly, which is a great clue that it’s not sufficiently blocking enough blue or green light.For UV protection, I’ll give these 5 stars. Just use them the right way.

Quality safety glasses, sturdy materials and arms. Fits over glasses, but also fits fine without any glasses underneath. I found them very comfortable, I wear these gardening, weed whacking and love the light change while on the tractor. Blocks uv.

These are well-made of thick orange plastic. They fit well over glasses and they do not obstruct your view at all. I am glad to have these protective glasses in my arsenal of protective eye wear.

I love these for being able to get the benefits of blocking blue and green light as it gets toward bedtime, yet still being able to check my phone and leave lights on. They do a much better job then clip-ons since they wrap around and have more coverage.

These glasses are orange, but they don’t filter out any spectrum of light - instead of rose-colored glasses to view the world, I have orange-colored glasses - different but cheerful.All of us in my house wear eyeglasses so all of our safety glasses have to be fitover and we have a variety of different ones from very expensive to the bargain priced ones at local discount hardware stores. Got these on a whim for something different but also because they will be hard to miss unlike all of the clear versions scattered around.These fit over my regular prescription eyeglasses without any problem and they don’t pinch the temples against my head. The frames wrap around my glasses and the lenses and sides are large and provide good eye protection during DIY projects. I’d say these provide the best protection of the all the glasses I have, stopping just short of providing goggle-like coverage for working with chemicals. So long as I’m not doing that, these glasses are a really good addition to our safety glasses wardrobe - only I’m not sharing this pair!

These are nice for over other glasses and the orange color does block the UV purple from from UV inspection lights.This makes seeing the things that are fluorescing dimly a lot easier to find and identify -They work with two different values of inspection lights I use and are well made and convenient to use.I wish they were a little more specific about the wavelengths filtered and the amount of filtering but for general use with less than dangerous light sources, they work well.

These are high quality safety glasses. You can tell because it has a good weight to it and that the arms are not flimsy. They’re large enough to go over eyeglasses if need be, and they’re effective in protecting your eyes from LED light!

We just wanted some extra safety glasses around the shop, including ones that fit over their eyeglasses. Obviously, these have an orange view to them, but you can use them to give general eye protection for onlookers, shop assistants, and the like. It says they are for dental, no idea how they work in those cases, but they are nice to have as extras around the shop.
