Ordered this for my new guitar and had read about others that had welds breaking unexpectedly and didn't want my new guitar falling to the floor. I'm very impressed by the design and so for it's held up well. The angle of the guitar is very good so that your guitar is stable but doesn't lean back so much that it causes the stand to sit too far from the wall. The locking gate on the neck of your guitar is a good design but being plastic, it feels a bit cheap but anything more robust would have made the stand top heavy so I guess plastic is an OK trade off. I recommend this stand highly.

I have a few vintage guitars that I sometimes put a bit of work into. Not long ago I walked by an old semi acoustic and with barely a brush it teetered off my standard guitar stand and landed on the floor. Undid hours of work I did on the neck. I tried one of these locking stands and will never go back. Cheap stands have a little rubber locking piece that is hard to use. And the angle is never right. This stand has a tight lock, pads around where the neck sits, a deep angle that really seats the guitar, and lightweight yet sturdy construction. And not that much more expensive than the basic ones I always used.

I have bought 4 of these. They are very lightweight yet very sturdey. They are extremely easy to set up and use. They even have a small storage place for pics.

Since I have several guitars, I have several guitar stands. Most look and function as if they were built grudgingly to minimum specs and without much concern for stability or for the instrument's finish. This stand is well designed to adjust to the instrument and has cushioning to protect its' finish. It folds to a compact size for transport. I will be buying a couple more of these to replace crappy stands.

This Cahaya guitar stand is the smartest design of dedicated neck holder guitar stands. It provides foldability, compactness, neck lock and light weight that surpass other stands that have a neck holder. The trade off with the light aluminum and plastic construction is that it will probably not stand up to hard use or abuse. This is a perfect stand for a bedroom or home studio.
