Some reviews mention that the screw was difficult to tighten by hand, but the product has been improved. The screws now have a slotted end, so you can turn it with a screwdriver. The photos have not been updated to show this. The HDMI conversion worked well for me.

Someone tossed a perfectly good Dell 23 inch gaming monitor. So I salvaged it and checked it out. The monitor still worked on VGA with my old laptop. I noticed the monitor also had a DVI port but I have a Raspberry Pi Model B that outputs to HDMI and in need of a monitor. One of these HDMI to DVI adapters solved the problem. No flickers. Nice steady display.

I only wish there was maybe a provided way to transport them from place to place for mobile tech people.Since there isn't, I'd strongly suggest getting some kind of little box to protect the unit and the pins from getting bent and useless.

Everyone knows DVI-I/DVI-D is superiod to HDMI; however, it's harder and harder to find modern monitors with these types of inputs.This adapter works really well for both of my outputs to convert to hdmi and pass to newer monitors.Price point is great and not a lot of things can go wrong with this type of adapter (unlike mini/micro-hdmi/dp to hdmi adapters).

I was having difficulty setting up dual monitors on my computer. A Slsplit HDMI connector allowed both monitors to work but did not allow them to be used in an extended monitor mode the DVI to HDMI connector allowed me to connect both monitors to connect and allowed extended screen mode.

Adapters seem like a simple thing, but that can be deceptive. How will it fit? Will it connect the signals correctly? This DVI to HDMI adapter was just right. I updated a second monitor on my desktop rig; the new monitor only has VGA (!) and HDMI input. The monitor was also supplied with an HDMI cable. My workstation graphics card (now pretty old) only has a DVI output for the second monitor. This adapter has a male DVI plug that fits the graphics card and converts it to female HDMI. The adapter fit perfectly, is nice and snug and the retaining screws aligned perfectly. It holds the HDMI cable snugly. The signal is good and I am back in business.

These adapters worked like they were supposed to. Needed them to go from a Radio Display to a Computer Monitor. Less expensive than a new cable as I already had the HDMI one and the Radio was DVI. Would buy again if needed. Hope this helps - Bill.....
