Have been looking for versatile spreaders like these for a while. However, I received only one of the four knives as described and it was not very good quality.

They are what we wanted but we put them in the dishwasher to clean them before we use them and now the handle coating came off and the handles are now rough and not smooth.

I didn't expect anything spectacular, and that's exactly what I got. Standard Made-in-China item. Gets the job done and for the price it's fine. It's the little things that will get to me over time. Like how the wooden handles aren't tight with the metal and have a bit of movement during use. I admit, I wonder if food will get under there during cleaning... Like I said, for the money you can't go wrong, just don't think you're getting a high quality item.

I did not think I'd see the day when I would walk into a big box store known for their kitchen ware selection, and NOT be able to find a simple sandwich knife. I am very pleased with these and if they don't last twenty years like my last one, I'll still feel like I got my money's worth.
