I’m restoring a fifty year-old Raleigh, which originally had suicide (safety) levers on all-metal brake levers. I used a grinder and file to remove the safety lever bosses and make room for rubber hoods. These fit the old Weinman and Mafac non-aero style levers just fine. I thought the texture might be a bit slick at first, but they feel good once installed. There are no loose fits, as might be a concern with aftermarket components.

Bought these to replace the original covers that had rotted away. I had to trim them a little, which is easy to do with a sharp razor blade. Be sure to lubricate them on installation and don't over-stretch them as will tear.

These were perfect for the restoration of my 1980 Univega Super Ten. The old brake hoods were pretty thoroughly rotted. These fit perfectly on the old brake levers.

Presi per rimettere in sesto una bici del 1952 che aveva i paramani ormai induriti e sgretolati dal tempo. Le dimensioni si adattano perfettamente (ho delle leve Balilla). In caso siano un po' più larghi si può compensare con un giro di nastro manubrio.La gomma al tatto è morbida e anche dopo alcune ore di pedalata non ho avuto problemi di comfort alle mani (bisogna ovviamente abituarsi gradualmente).Se volete spendere 4 volte tanto per averne con la scritta Universal o anche più per Campagnolo, sappiate che queste sono altrettanto buone

Muy buen producto. En mi caso tuve que cortarlos un poco porque no entraban en unos frenos Olimpic. Pero vamos, lo volvería a comprar sin lugar a dudas.

These are "generic" hood, so might fit or might me a little loose when on certain levers. Mine are on 80's era Shimano 600 and are a little big but do the job perfectly.

We were overhauling a beloved old Nashbar road bike (1986) and these brake lever hoods were a perfect match for the rotting original set. Very good quality.
