I ordered this for a pirate night on a cruise I took with my family. Glad I ordered it early because I wasn't happy with the fit and wanted something a bit looser. I ordered my normal size XL and since I was trying to pull it over my head to put it on, it was very difficult. I ordered a size up (XXL) and that was perfect for me.The cord is very long. I had to trim it quite a bit. The material is holding up well and I have worn it on a few more cruises since then. The colors are holding and the material is nice.

I bought this recently to use for Halloween costumes/Renaissance Faires. Got a Large after taking my measurements. I usually wear large shirts, sometimes medium, depending on the cut. I figured I'd rather have it a bit loose vs too tight. The fit was right as expected.I bought the Blue/Grey color combo, as it was on sale about $10 cheaper than the other color combinations. It's not really grey - more of a dark tan or dull brown, but it looks like the photos. The material is good - not stiff & heavy, not light & see-through. I washed it on delicate and it didn't wrinkle. Everything about it works well.If I had to name one complaint, it would be the lacing. It's literally 8 feet long, and they could have easily cut that down by 12-18 inches and still left you enough room to tie it up properly. I may shorten that myself. I would consider buying another vest in different colors if I expand my costume wardrobe.

I'm 6' 220lbs and bought my renaissance fair outfit on Amazon. I aimed for items that were just enough above "cheap" to make a quality costume. This vest looks and feels quality, no regrets. I wore this vest over a plain linen shirt. I typically wear L or XL shirts so I ordered the XL vest and it was the perfect length, but didn't reach around my chest and belly. My body build is pretty average, both fat and muscle. I returned it and got the XXL, which was still snug but looked good, yet was a little too long for me.I kept it and will use it again because I like the quality and appearance. It's good for medieval and pirate outfits.

You know how it is ordering online. I was worried it wouldn’t fit and worried it would feel too cheap and tacky and costume-y, but it totally doesn’t! It’s actually nice to the touch, it fits well, and it’s just overall higher quality than I expected. Very pleasantly surprised! The sizing was also great. Some shirts in my size are too snug around the belly, so I almost ordered a size up. Glad I didn’t! Order your regular size and you should be good. Fits like a dream!
