My 42 year old Bose 901 Series V speakers sound amazing. Replacement was easy after watching the installation video.

Once you watch the YouTube video on how to repair your speakers. The rest is just time. Worked great, took my time about two 2 hours days. Speakers sound like they did when I bought them in 1980.

Foam and glue supplied in the kit were sufficient to complete the rehab of a pair of Bose 901 speakers from the early 1980s. They give you some extra foam rings as well as plenty of glue. On line video instructions are spot on. Take your time working it and you will be fine. It took me about six hours over two days to complete the project. Speakers sound really good now. Way better than spending a couple hundred bucks on new speakers or having someone re-foam them for you.

Bought this kit. Followed the video instructions. Took some time and care. When completed, I hooked everything up and was nervous cause I wasn't sure if they were going to work or how they would sound. Turned on the amp, put in a CD, and was very impressed with the sound quality. If you can be patient and follow the youtube video step by step using the tools they recommend, you can have a great set of speakers. They give you a couple of extra foams, and more then enough glue.

delivery was fast and great instructional YouTube video is easy to follow, I liked the product though I still have some crackling sounds coming from a couple of the speakers. Not sure what the cause is

My Bose 901 Series IV speakers that I purchased in 1980 were beginning to sound really bad in the bass end when turned up.After watching the Simply Speakers YouTube video a few times, I ordered the "foam" edge repair kit and took my time over the period of one weekend.More tedious than difficult to do it yourself, but to ship these to a speaker repair shop would be ridiculously expensive!I will admit that doing the first few speakers (9 in each cabinet!) was a little disconcerting, but each one I did was quicker than the one before it. I went with the foam, not due to price, but reports that the foam "sound better" than the other kit. If these last another +30 years, I'm good.A little oil base stain on the cabinets, new speaker cone foam edges, and cleaned out cabinet, and the speakers sound like they are brand new again! If you have a set of old 901's, order the kit and replace the foam rings. Bose 901's are iconic, and these days, "retro cool", just like us old owners!
