I first had a disappointing experience when the two workhorses I ordered were shipped without any packaging at all (just tossed in a cardboard box). During transport, the legs extended prematurely, making it impossible to open them (design flaw). One of the items was also slightly bent. Fortunately, BORA's customer service was responsive and sent me replacement units. Thank you, BORA. As for the product itself, it is a solid and well-constructed workhorse with features not found in many other similar products. Just be aware of the leg extension unless you make a modification to prevent the inner legs from extending when closed and upright. (P.S. the replacement items were properly packaged, so no issues during transport).

I got these a few months ago for my birthday and finally got a project to use them on, but was dismayed to find out one of the horses was unable to open due to a manufacturer error. one of the extendable legs was extended behind the other set of legs. As much as I tried, I could not get the legs out or the foot to go in. part of the assembly is riveted, so there is only so much taking it apart that you can do. The other horse seems great. I’m giving it 1 star now for being unusable and contacting the manufacturer. I will update if this is able to be resolved.update: bought a second one due to the return window closing. Also came with the same defect.

Super heavy duty and folds up well. hOWEVEr.. i had to remove the bolts that hold on the legs because they were folded up with the legs extended too long at the factory. I hope they aren’t all like that because I am handy and some of you will have trouble. It took me 30 minutes to fix.

Bora needs to work on their Quality Control, and check all units better before they are shipped out.I ordered a pair of these, which were packed into the same box at the factory, and shipped together. I was excited to finally have a tall saw horses since I’m 6’6”.But after just one use, I’m sending them right back to Amazon since I discovered that one of the two units had a series of major manufacturing defects that nobody bothered to check/fix before it left the factory (basically, I think it boils down to Bora having loose size tolerances in its manufacture process, and while that may be fine if a product gets a part that’s slightly out of spec…but it also means that there will be some — like my bad unit — that will get multiple bad parts, and they will add up to a dysfunctional final product. The parts just didn’t fit right on one of my two units, and it made too many problems .First, the legs on the bad unit were very hard to get out of their storage position (it required using a tool to basically pry out one of the the two folded legs from inside the top where they are stored when not set up. But the legs are supposed to easily come out of the base after the lock is released ).Also, in order to raise the height on these up to their advertised 36”, you need to extend the bottom piece on each of the 4 legs per unit (they need to be done ant a time, and there’s supposed to be a quick/easy release bar that (when pressed) allows the height extenders to be pulled out. But this same unit’s extension part (on 2 of the 4 legs) was almost completely stuck in the short/storage setting — pushing the release bar was incredibly hard, and the legs on that unit were almost impossible to extend without a lot of effort and frustration. I was also afraid that the extended legs were not secure, and could collapse when I had weight on the saw horse. But the most annoying problem was the poorly made side rails (which are supposed to hold the 2x4’s, and thus allow you to set up a frame to support a plywood top for a portable workbench). But the same poorly made unit (with multiple problems with its legs) were also problematic. The side rails were about 1/4 inch too narrow. So instead of the 2x4 easily dropping into place in the side rail, the 2x4 would only fit into the side rail with a lot of time consuming & frustrating effort. It even required me to use a rubber mallet to get the 2x4 into place (it needed to go all the way into the side rail slot, or else it would stick up and fuse n uneven worktop. After getting it hammered down in placement it was fine…until it was time to pack up, and then it took more time and frustrating effort to get the 2x4 out…and it deeply gouged the 2x4 on both of the side rails.Anyway, the 36” Workhorse had such potential, but at over a $100 for a basic sawhorse, and the poor quality that Bora let slip through on so many different parts, meant that it unusable — unless I was willing to put up with all the extra work and frustration. No thanks — I’m returning both to Amazon (just one sawhorse doesn’t provide a lot of use).

the 2x4 support was slightly bent when it arrived but was fixable. I like the height adjustment and overall seems like a strong product.

I love these saw horses. Very sturdy and work as expected. I find that the Bora brand can be pricy, depending upon one's needs however one always needs a dependable work station. Accurately described by the seller.

I ordered two sets of these. In the first set both sawhorses came bent at the end where the 2x4 holders are located. So I ordered a replacement, and both sawhorses also came bent on replacements in the exact same spots. I figured they were all bent in transport. The shipping boxes were both ripped and banged up on the same side as bent sides. They are not packed correctly at all. They ship them both together in a plain cardboard box with no packaging or insulation. The sawhorses are metal but not heavy weight. They are not very sturdy and somewhat flimsy and wobbly. I needed them for a job, so I made one of the sets work by bending them back into shape. I saw in several other reviews that the legs would not open, and the same thing happened to me. I had to unscrew on of the legs to unfold them. What happens is when they drop the box during transport, it lands on its side, causing damage to the end by bending the 2x4 slot. At the same time, the legs get extended, since they have adjustable legs. When they get extended, it locks itself in place, since they are then too long to unfold. The only way to open them is to unscrew the top set of legs to reach the set underneath and unfold it. Once unfolded you have to retract the legs to the lowest position to be able to fold correctly, then reattach the leg you removed. For the price (on sale $79 pair) they would be ok sawhorses, as I liked the idea of adjustable legs and having 2x4 holders, but it's not worth taking the chance due to the poor shipping and handling. My rating is only for the quality of the sawhorses, after I repaired them and not taking the shipping into consideration. However, the shipping I would give only one 1 star for speed of delivery. I would not recommend buying these from Amazon. Maybe from a local store where you can inspect them before buying. Just keep in mind that they are not heavy duty and will not take abuse.

Order two of these where one arrived that looks to have been previously used. One end is dented in where the 2x4 would sit, some scrapes and dings, and one side of legs was stored with the legs extended which caused the lock nut on the opposite legs to jam against the inside end where they fold out from. There are rivets missing on both units where the 2x4 slot is on the end which was either why it is bent on those ends or it was the impact that did the damage and popped the rivets. Also, watch your fingers when unlocking for the legs to drop down. Not as smooth of operation as in the videos, but hopefully as it gets used, the parts may move more smoothly. Overall, not happy that I paid full price and didn’t receive products that reflect that.
