Worked great to replace my broken saddle in my Yamaha acoustic. Bit of sanding with needed with the provided sandpaper to make it a perfect fit, intonation was spot on.

I replaced the factory Urea saddle on my black Yamaha LL16D guitar and I love the sound. The fit was perfect albeit a bit more snug than the original. In fairness, in addition to the saddle, I also replaced the factory plastic bridge pins with a Blisstime ebony/abolone inlayed set purchased on Amazon at the same time. As expected, the bridge pins needed a bit of sanding with 150 grit paper while carefully held and protected in a small piece of plastic tubing inside a drill chuck for about 10 seconds at medium speed to achieve a perfect fit. After installing a new set of D'Addario XS 12-53 phospher/bronse strings, the sound quality of the guitar was fantastic. The richness and tonal balance of all the strings was superb as was the overall sustain of the notes, almost bell like on the high E and B strings. Everything sounded great with or with amplification. I believe that this MacNichol bone saddle, specifically the (Bone Saddle – Fits Many Post-2000 Yamaha® Guitars with Undersaddle Pickup – 9 mm) that I purchased was a huge part of my success. I absolutely love the NEW sound of my LL16D guitar!

Too thick to fit in an FG saddle notch. Big waste of my time. Thanks for making the title of this product clickbait

Quality compensated bone saddle includes video instructions and small sandpaper square. Lots of other on line videos with tips and instructions to help you adjust action and size of the saddle for your guitar. It’s easy to do, just requires time and patience. The key point is to keep the bottom square. I did fine until I tried to reduce the 1st string side and went too far with a heavy hand.MacNichol was a big help and sent a replacement that matched the measurements I provided to them.Worked perfectly for my guitar without any further adjustments.I highly recommend this product sold by MacNichol. Send them the guitar model ID and saddle measurements you need when you place your order.

Installed in a Yamaha AC5M. Sanded the saddle down to achieve my desired string height. Sounds great and the guitar is much easier to play with lower action. The end to end length of this saddle is a little shorter than the bridge slot in the AC5M, but this saddle works great if you are careful to keep it centered when you re-string. Nice product. Thanks.

Worked great, after I unevenly sanded down the saddle that came with the guitar this gave me a second chance to go slowly.
