I went through 3 tubes of hardener starting with what remained of RED that I had from years ago which worked great and was easy to gauge the correct amount by the color of the bondo once it was mixed well enough.The ad stresses that it's RED and this is the bondo store and not only did they commit commercial fraud but they circumvented the implied warranty act they are legally obligated to obey under both federal and state legislation, and denied my right to RETURN IT. That's not legal not even with perishables read the GD UCC which is adopted into 49 states for decades with the exception of Louisiana.THIS product, on the other hand, you cannot gauge well by color, I added 3x the normal amount of red I've always used, it finally colored the bondo a blue relative to what the red always does, but it didn't harden up the same way and yes, I assume it's identical in every way except the color pigment as far as the company is concernted.Me?I think the formula quantities have been changed and this hardener is not only more difficult to estimate the correct amount, but it also didn't harden after I used CRAZY huge amounts in the dry summer heat and sitting in many examples, overnight.

Works extremely well. I repaired a missing side section (roughly 1/4 inch in size) of a melamine dish/tray , and it hardened to match the hardness of the melamine, yet it is easy to sand so the product is flush with the dish. I found applying the product to the area in a large glob was best and then sanding down. You must work quickly tho and in small batches as it dries quickly. Paint adheres well to the product.

This arrived promptly, packaged well, yadda yadda. Needed this since I ran out of the little tube they give you. I used this to repair a wooden door frame. Works perfectly if you are just painting the door. Stuff works.
