I've gotten a few sweaters very similar to this because I often need sweaters for working outside and I want something a little stiffer and more durable when I'm rubbing up against machinery and sometimes melting or ripping less durable fabrics.I haven't really stress tested this stuff yet because I don't want to ruin it right away, but it does feel like other decent heat resistant sweaters I've worn before, and it doesn't show any damage after it took some mild abrasion during the first project I've worn it for so far. What I really like is the fit. I'm a pretty skinny guy so I'm used to clothing being too baggy, but oddly more than one of the similar long sleeve work shirts I've gotten have been too skinny for me. Don't know why they seem to be different from other clothing in that regard, but this one is just right. It fits well without being too tight and it's a good length. I'm usually in between small and medium and I sized up to medium because of past experiences with similar shirts, and that was the right move. Size up when in doubt.Overall very happy with it, after wearing it for a bit I'm actually eyeing it as a winter mountain biking sweater because I think it could take some falls without getting destroyed and it's a little warmer than my typical downhill wear.

This hoodie is distinctly unique. It should be worn, and therefore sized, like a t-shirt. That said, I suggest going one size larger if you have some weight around the belly just because it is a high-quality cotton that doesn't stretch much. If you're healthy, your normal Tee shirt size will fit very well. Its hoodie is perfect for morning chill, or to block peripheral light.I did some research on what flame resistant means, and the Cotton Inc. website has a whole FAQ PDF on the process. The only chemical that I could determine that is used in creating this type of material is ammonia. If you have allergies to ammonia, then it's possible to have symptoms like itching and rashes. I also advise to wash this prior to using - it's just good practice. Other than that, it has to do with cotton processing ... and I'm sure the pre-shrunk and solid knit of this shirt is part of that. From the article, it should handle having molten metal splash on the shirt and not melt it or exhibit "loss of insulative properties", and as it's washed over time, it's low heat transmittal properties should only increase from something called "heat flux".Okay - enough science... how does this feel? It feels GREAT! I like having a Tee Hoodie that doesn't feel flimsy or low quality. This feels very solid and looks great, too! It's tight enough around my dad-bod waist that I wish I got one size larger, but I plan to lose that by the time summer rolls in, in which case this shirt will fit stylishly perfect. I like that it's been pre washed so many times that it won't shrink and that the fabric is so dense it won't stretch much. These are qualities of a higher-end cotton fabric. It is long in the torso. It goes down to my butt when I sit, which means nobody is going to see plumber's crack when I stoop down to do a plumbing job ... literally. This is another feature that I think this gets right! It knows that whoever wears this cares to look good and not have some wardrobe malfunction.Cost wise - I really couldn't compare it to much. There are plenty of $15 Tee hoodies that are polyester cotton blends and some $25 Tee hoodies that are a cheaper, pilling cotton. This hoodie runs at about twice that, currently at $45. That's pricey but it's also over twice the quality of these other summer hoodies. In the end, it follows the adage that you get what you pay for.

The BOCOMAL FR Shirt Hooded T-shirt is a decent flame-resistant work shirt that meets NFPA 2112 and CAT2 standards, making it a reliable option for welding and other high-risk jobs. The fabric is comfortable, and the kangaroo pocket is a nice touch for convenience. However, I was expecting it to be a bit thicker for extra protection, as it feels slightly thinner than I anticipated for a work shirt meant for welding. It’s still functional and breathable for summer use, but if you’re looking for something more robust for heavy-duty protection, this might not be the ideal choice. Overall, it’s a good shirt but not as thick as I would’ve liked.

This is a long-sleeve shirt with hood and front kangaroo pocket. Made of fire-resistant cotton; might wear this the next time I'm working on a welding or brazing project. However, I did not test the fire resistance, so no comments on that feature.2XL size was proportioned correctly, i.e., fits true to 2XL, perhaps a tad on the long side (but not over long). Could be worn by itself, but loose enough to wear over another shirt.Fabric overall is comfortable; light/medium weight. Be sure to note the term "summer hoodie," meaning this is not heavy enough for use as a primary outer-garment in the winter. (That is, it is lighter than a typical sweatshirt or fleece.) Hood and pocket are functional, but again, this is overall fairly lightweight.Style-wise, the look is fairly straightforward and somewhat industrial. So, more functional than stylish/high fashion, if that makes sense.Overall, comfortable, fits correctly, and looks acceptable, with fire-proof features (apparently) if that's of use. Recommended.

There was no size chart for this item. So I went to the company website and looked at a few different size charts for their products. Based off of what I saw I ordered a large. What a mistake. It fits like a small or medium and I will never be able to wear it comfortably. I expected the chest measurement to be roughly 50 inches. However, the chest measurement for this large size garment is 44 inches. Unlike most hoodies or fabrics these days, there was no stretch at all. Not that I expected much stretch from 100% cotton, but compared to other 100% cotton garments I have, it had less stretch than those. Knowing what I know now if I was to reorder this I would get it in a 2XL. My chest measurement is 44 inches. I should be able to wear a larger or extra large comfortably. It's not a total waste. I will give this to my wife...
