I never write these reviews, but my experience was just too rich to not contribute. The software installation resulted in an error. I tried to report the issue to the company. I had to jump through quite a number of hoops and multiple factor, authentication and authenticator apps just to report the issue. I got an immediate reply. They told me I should go read the forum of multiple people reporting the same issue, some of which were able to solve the problem and some that were not able to solve the problem. There were countless pages and countless posts. The company didn’t tell me which one was the right solution. They just expected me to read through them all. In my book that’s not customer support. I tried to reply to the Support email, but it was a do not reply email and they told me to go back to the original post I put on their website. So I tried to go back onto the website to the original post, and after going through multiple factor authentication and authenticator apps, I got a message that said my post had been closed and I needed to open a new ticket. So I just returned the product.

It was very easy to setup and it uses not alot of power. You can configure it with the u-center software and it even revert to default settings if you mess it up. Very cheap with all the capabilities it has.

The software install requires going to a site and downloading. The install reports missing DLL files, but after installing windows VC updates, still fails, seems it need a specific dll that has long been updated. Dont buy!

A lot of people complain that these devices "don't work" or "can't find drivers". They don't need drivers - they need software that understands what the device provides. I have several applications running under Windows AND Linux that work flawlessly with this. It shows up on you computer as a USB serial port.
