It's a nice big skillet. I wish it had little higher sides as everything does tennto fall off the edges if you're not careful. It heats well but the part of the grill furthest away from the plug in does not get quite as hot. Great skillet for the price. We use it while camping and makes great hashbrowns and bacon and eggs

We bought this for camping since I'm tired of paying to buy those little green propane tanks for the gas stove, and this worked Very well during our last trip! Easily cooked multiple burgers, bacon, eggs, etc. Great for our family of 6! Then, we came home and I started using it to cook multiples of things requested by my kids, like French toast. SO much easier and faster than in a pan. It cleans up very well with the non-stick surface, but remember to Always grease your surface before cooking, even on "non-stick" surfaces. The grease trap cleans well too after use. This is a great griddle!!

My selection process involved searching: “best griddle”, When you use “best”, it will bring up independent reviews by companies or reviewers that test many different manufacturers. Unfortunately, they can only test one unit for each manufacturer. Once I find the most frequently recommended product, I use Amazon’s reviews to see if many consumers find that their experiences match.In the case of these moderately priced, consumer griddles, I found that each one has fairly large absolute numbers of negative reviews. This means that quality is not the priority for griddle manufacturers, at these price levels. So, it is impossible to know if you will be one of the lucky buyers to get a griddle that will make you happy. I’ve tried many different brands , over the years (these die in a year or two), and found that they all work about the same. You just have to get used to how each one differs in where the best temperature-gauge setting is and where on the griddle to place your food for best performance - and each one is different, even in the same product name.Regarding this BLACK+DECKER GD2011B, it is ok. I’ve found the gauge setting that performs best, but am still working on the placement. As an example of how manufacturers of these griddles view each penny as being precious, a reputable firm such as B&D skimped on design for the footpads. This griddle has only two footpads, both on the same side. So, the griddle tilts just enough to see your fried eggs drool toward the down-slope. I’ll have to add something to level the griddle.All-in-all, I’ll be able to work with this griddle and deem myself lucky to have reached this mid-level of satisfaction. A lot of people that bought this did not, due to highly erratic quality of design and production - just like the other manufacturers. However, if they were to build a better one, you wouldn’t want to pay for it.

I had a smaller off name brand which did the job but burnout about 4 months of use... this one I’ve only had for about 3 weeks or so and it’s working fabulous. With It’s bigger cooking surface, I can make more and I don’t have the problem of things sticking. I made pancakes ant they turned out fantastic. I even cooked salmon one viggies on this boy, the salmon was juicy and delicious. I cooked plantains, grilled cheese and much more without any problems... the heat is evenly distributed and with a little bit of coconut oil and rubber spatula makes cooking a breeze/Works Heavenly! I don’t suggest using a metal spatula or metal utensils on this because you don’t want to scratch any part of the cooking surface...Cleaning up is really easy also... Some soap and warm water then dry it off and it’s clean... Love it!

We are a family of 9, and I have been making pancakes and french toast in a small skillet. 2 at a time. It was insanity. I ordered this and it is a amazing. I can make 8-10 pancakes at a time, depending on their size. I can do 8 grilled cheese at a time instead of 1. This is life changing. I heats up really quickly and evenly. None of my pancakes cook faster than the others, and they all are nice and golden brown all over when done. It is super easy to clean, too. Nothing sticks to it! I have make pancakes, grilled cheese, cheeseburgers, and french toast and love it. My mom has a much more expensive one, and it doesn't cook evenly at all. This one is great and costs so little. I can't believe I have lived without this for so long!

This is a fantastic griddle! It is an 8 serving nonstick electric griddle! This boasts 2 times longer lasting nonstick coating. This reaches up to 400 degrees for more versatile cooking! We use this for many things but when we get together with family - and they are here from out of town – this is our go to griddle for our pancake frenzy! I have a gas stove and no matter what type of griddle I use it doesn't seem to cook pancakes evenly. This griddle is so spacious I can make more pancakes at one time.The last four times my sister was here she mentioned how amazing this griddle is and she would be ordering one for herself. Of course we actually just made pancakes this morning and I asked her "did you purchase the griddle "? Of course her reply was "I just get so busy I forgot "! Good thing she's due for her birthday gift, because I am going to order one so it arrives while she's here visiting.

This is a review of the Black and Decker GD2011B Family Size Griddle.Summary - We used to use a Presto 07030 Griddle and that one still worked well but the Teflon coating was coming off leaving us in need to get a new one. We got this one on black Friday for under $15 and it was a no brainer to order and try!To keep this as an easy read, here is what I like and did not like about it.Pros-Heat was uniform and we did not have any hot spots so far with our use.-Cord is easy to connect and set.-Entire unit is easy to clean, light weight and has a nice size foot print. (You get a lot of working area and yet it is easy to store on top of our cabinets.)-Is advertised as dishwasher safe which is cool. I personally wash mine as soon as I use it, but good to know I can throw it in there if I wanted to.-The coating is in fact non stick and nothing seems to stick so far.-Unlike my last griddle which had a channel only in the front for grease to run off, this has a channel that goes across the front and a little up each side to begin the process of draining earlier.Cons-Cord is short and I have to use a 12" extension to reach our counter top outlets. (This seems to be with all griddles I have used so far.)-Grease tray is 1/2 the size of the past griddle. The presto could fry up an entire lb of bacon and need one empty. This will require two which is kind of a pain if you are not careful.Note - It has only been used a few times so far so long term durability is to be determined. I got about 1 to 1 1/2 yrs on my presto. As with all my reviews, I will update this review should it develop issues such as uneven heat or Teflon - sticking issues, etc.
