The winters have been cold recently, last 2 years i have had this fail from freezing. I went to Menards to find a cartridge only to discover they do not sell them. Since I already had it apart and needing it NOW I opted to buy a whole faucet then take out the stem it's then i discovered mine was a different size length stem but the cartridge was the same one. So, I replaced the cartridge with the new one i just bought, ALL FIXED NOW. BTW, the white ceramic part inside is what broke (cracked).

This part is exactly what I needed to fix our Mueller silcock which got broken off at the handle. As you can see, what is sold is a 10” stem. It does measure 13” overall, but stems aren’t measured end to end by manufacturers.

Needed to replace a stripped outdoor hose spicket, had no part number to go off. All the local big box stores don’t carry replacement stems. Took some measurements got online and ordered this one. End to end, the stem measured 13” but it’s for a 10” silcock. Worked like a charm!!!

Easy install. Be sure to check manufacturers web site for measuring instructions so you buy the right part. Outdoor faucet works like new.

Popped it in. Tightened the flange nut. Put on the knob and turned on the water . Single as that

So I ordered this replacement part after doing some research and disassembling the non-functioning part. Product listed at 16”, which is what I needed. When replacement arrived, it was only 13”. Was going to return, but decided to take the front piece from the new one and use the older stem. Worked fine but wish I had gotten the 16” as described. Fix would have been so much easier.
