I bought an craftsman 1971 circular saw on ebay after using someone elses. I thought I couldnt cut a straight line anymore with the newer saws I had. This one has been used alot but still cuts straight. The trigger switch failed and after many hours of wb searching this switch looks almost identical. It turns out it is an exact fit and works perfectly.I also tried a 71/4 inch blade in a 7 inch saw and it fits perfectly as well. Very happy with this switch that fits so well. You may have to file down the handle to allow the switch to release or dont tighten the screw by the switch very tight.
