My sister recently changed her septum piercing to a seamless hoop. We were having trouble getting it secured so we decided to give these pliers a shot. They did the job perfectly where our fingers failed. I'm sure they'll come in handy for other things and be a big help once she decides to switch her jewelry again.

I had a small wire cutter that was nearly identical and it lasted over 30 years. That one was $18 thirty years ago. This one is a bit heavier but suitable for small electronics and guitar string clipping. It’s a great value at this price and feels sturdy.

These pliers work great! I use these for Paracord and they grip it so well! I love having an actual spring in between instead of the metal pieces that always come apart. The grips on the handles stay in place well. My only complaint is I wish there were more of a cushion on the handles, but they are still the best pliers I have used.

This is probably the best 4 inch wire cutter/stripper that really works. It is soundly made, with strong steel and a tight joint. It cuts and strips medium electrical wire very easily. The shape of the head provides strength all the way to the tip. The handles are strong and are shaped for comfort. Being just at 4 inches, it fits in a wallet sized EDC kit. It MAY handle 12 guage solid copper wire, but everything I have used so far has been just under that size.Update: I did finally need to cut a 12 guage solid copper wire. The cutter cut through it with medium pressure. It did not seem to over stress the tool, the handle did not bend, and when the cut was finished there was no mark or damage to the blades. So this cutter did pass the 12 guage test. Amazing for a 4 inch tool.Update 2: I was making a craft product and had to cut several pieces of solid 12 guage copper wire. The tool performed great. I do suggest that if you cut 12 guage solid copper wire, that you cut it at the BACK of the jaws. This gives more leverage and saves the tips for lighter wire or zip ties. This tool is trustworthy for12 guage solid copper wire and smaller. All tools have a range of use. I think it would be going too far to use it on 10 guage copper wire and larger.So this is my last comment. This is a 5 star product. I do highly recommend this tool for cutting and stripping soft solid and stranded copper wire that is 12 guage or smaller. This has to be a Best In Class winner for the 4 inch wire cutter category.So who am I and how valid is my opinion. I am 65 years old and have done construction and mechanical work most of my life. I built our home and ran all the wiring for 400 amp service. I used every popular means to cut and strip wire. I do not say this to pat myself on the back. I just wanted to give the reader some confidence in my remarks.
