It's a big metal cup. Exactly what you'd expect. If you put a drink, it tends to adjust to the temperature and sap it to normal room temp decently quick. Because it's metal.

Ok cup but gets a ton of condensation, you cannot microwave water in it, and the handle is a bit too thin.perfect capacity for me and hold a deceivingly large amount of liquidlightweight compared to glass

I don't normally drink beer, but I use this glass for flavored water, coffee, Tea ETC. It holds a lot of liquid and it's light. I am not sure why they made its handle so thin! My hand is not that big so even when I read some of the reviews before I bought, I thought that it should work for me. But it is very hard to lift it, and I am always afraid that it would tilt when I am holding it. It would be ok, if it is in front of me as I could lift it up with both hands, but I normally set it the right of my computer keyboard so I have to pick it up with one hand. The mug might slip out of my hand, if I get too drunk from drinking a lot of beer with this.I gave it 4 rating because I like everything else about it. But I really don't like the handle, I think people should be aware of the design of the handle. If I liked it, I was going to buy more.I won't buy it again as it is not designed for my particular situation.

This review comes after 3 years of use, plus purchase of a 2nd of these mugs just to have 2 of them - not because anything is wrong with the first. Both are still like the day I bought them, and I'm back to buy 2 more to make a set of 4. That is how much confidence I've developed in this mug.I had long searched for the ideal drinking cup/mug/bottle to help encourage myself to drink more water. After buying and trying many, MANY products over maybe 10 years or longer, this mug takes the top prize. If you're apprehensive about plastics like me, then you'll land on glass and steel as the ideal materials for daily hydration. And if you want to encourage lots of hydration, then bigger is better right? Well bottles are nice but they're a bit heavy compared to, say, an oversized solo cup. I'm a strong and active enough guy but weight still does matter! I want something easy, comfortable ... light! This mug is the perfect mesh of lightness and proper material (steel). At 34oz, I can brew a pitcher of iced tea and fill 2 of these mugs to their brims, and toss them in the fridge, and clean up / stow the pitcher immediately. That, to me, is priceless. I also drink a ton of water and water with squeezed lemon juice in these.I wish there were more variations on this idea on the market ... 34oz is a really nice capacity, and steel is ideal for the lightweight element. Could even make a 36oz product like this, I'd buy it !!

Very nice quality. I use it as a strip cup when prepping goats for milking. Easy to clean along with my other stainless steel milking equipment.

The reason for the 3 star is the handle broke. For what you pay they need better welds.

I got this to replace a beer stein of roughly the same capacity that was much, MUCH heavier. But the beer stein was also much easier to hold. That said, I really do like this "mug" for several reasons.1. It has a shape that reduces wave resonance. What's wave resonance? If you've ever walked around with a glass, cup or bowl that begins to slosh over the sides despite your best efforts to keep that from happening, that's wave resonance. The shape of most bowls and cups facilitate how fluids can get out of control as you walk. The shape of this mug is somewhat oval, which doesn't provide the consistency of shape needed for it to slosh itself out of the mug. So you can pretty much walk normally, even if this is filled near to the brim and it will keep the beverage in the mug where it belongs.2. Pouring heaven.Like my heavy beer stein, I don't always use this mug to drink from, and often pour water from it to another glass. My beer stein had a straight edge lip, and water got everywhere almost all the time. This will pour water (and other fluids) virtually drip-free. A much better "no mess" solution.3. CapacityWhile my beer stein was rated at 32 oz, either its rating was wrong, or this one's is, because this holds an few ounces more fluid than the 32 oz beer stein. And that it can hold it almost all the way to the brim without spilling means fewer trips to refill it, which is always good.4. Feather light. My beer stein weighed in at 24 or more ounces of thick glass. GREAT for an Oktoberfest in Germany. Not so good for one's normal drinking glass. This thing weighs about 2-3 ounces at most (and probably less), and feels like a helium balloon compared to the supertanker anchor of the beer stein. I'm not concerned about my grip failing or brittle bones being fractured by just picking it up like I was about the beer stein. If you need something with a LOT of capacity, and is light, and doesn't drip, or slosh easily, GET THIS MUG!Throttling down my enthusiasm, and in the interests of fairness, nothing is perfect, and there are two things I distinctly DON'T like about this mug. (There has to be because after that gushing, it SHOULD be rated at 5 stars, amIright?)The first is the anemic handle. I'm not a small guy, and this handle is LITERALLY as thin as a pencil. But I have big hands, which means I can brace my fingers off the side of the mug and have a secure grip. Others with smaller hands/shorter fingers may have some trouble hanging on to it. I'm planning on using a piece of plastic rod to thicken up the grip side of the handle, which should make for a more secure hold. I did use leather wrapping on the beer stein (because it was all glass, formed in a mold, and the seams were SHARP, so it needed padding), so I'm not that put out that the handle needs some love to be more gripable. The other thing I'm not terribly pleased by is that the welds of the handle to the mug are kind of sharp. I'm a craftsman, and have the tools to dull the knife-like edges of the metal there without doing a lot of damage to the finish, but a piece of electrical tape or something of that nature would work to blunt the edges just as well. It did NOT draw blood. It was just like an unexpected scratch from a cat that likes you, but was annoyed by something you did.My overall score is based on my experience with the beer stein vs. this mug. HANDS DOWN the mug wins by MILES. It's most definitely NOT perfect, but it's FAR better than what I had with that beer stein in all the ways that count, and won't be any more difficult to fit my hand than the beer stein was.Fix the handle so humans can grip it better than chipmunks and smooth the rough spot welds to the body of the mug itself, and this would be 5 stars. As is, it's still very much worth the price to me, and I'd definitely recommend this to a friend, as long as I told them what to look out for before they ordered it.
