Did I mention that it was delivered in less than 24 hours for free? Was a snap to install, as it's about the 3rd time I've replaced it in this old, iPhone 8. I'm getting pretty good at it, finally. I hope it's the last one!

Battery capacity is way lower than the original one. A fully charged one can only last half a day during normal use. It says "7300mAh" in the description but feels like less than 1000mAh

So far seems to be a great product. With this kit and YouTube videos. A person with the manual dexterity can do this battery changing job. Save a little money and have a lot of self-pride. It's a quality kit. Glad I did it and glad I got through it. Very, very happy.

Not fun to install but works well once installed.I did not use the tape strips to hold the battery in place. It is snug enough in place. Should I need to replace it again, in a couple of years, changing the battery without the tape will be easier.

Giving this three stars because the battery works fine, but the installation instructions were terrible. The YouTube video from the QR code only shows how to remove the old battery, not how to install the new one. Maybe you think you can just do the same steps in reverse, but there are some important gaps like whether or not to remove the residue of the adhesive, or the fact that you need to install the new seal BEFORE reattaching the screen. Also, there are two major tools featured in the video that are not included in the set. I was able to make do without them, but was very confused.

UPDATE: 8-1-22 and the replacement battery is still working great!——-My original battery was DONE. Would go from 100 to 10 percent within 4 minutes. I didn’t want to replace my perfectly good iPhone 8 yet. I’ve done phone repairs before so this was a no brainer. Cheap and easy fix. Some rather decent tools included in the package. Only glitch is the adhesive material included is the old kind, that you don’t want to use without modifying it. You don’t want to stick the battery down to the charging coil that is underneath it. I just cut it down to get pieces that could adhere the battery just to the metal case. Or you could separately buy the correct adhesive that is made for iPhone 8 and includes the cutout portion where the coil is. This is a very doable DIY repair if you’ve done these before or are confident and have steady hands. Battery life is great so far, 3 weeks after the swap.

I just received these batteries a few days ago and have put them into use immediately. For only $17 you get two of these batteries plus a recharger.I think that is a good value and am satisfied with my purchase. So far, I am following the manufacturer's break in instructions; That is, for the first several uses, completely drain the battery before recharging. And don't plug the battery into power source while using the battery, thereby allowing it to completely drain. After a few more such cycles, I will have a better opinion of the longer term performance of this battery set.For now I am using both batteries; One in use while the other one stays home recharging. Now for the one negative comment and the reason for not giving this battery 5 stars.I am using this battery to power a small portable speaker that I connect to my phone or MP3 player during my 8 hour shift while at work. This battery does not last my entire 8 hour shift. At the outset, it appear the speaker quits at about 4 hours. But being in the "break in" period, I am using the speaker 100% on battery power, not plugged into a power source. I will have a better informed opinion later after the break in period when I anticipate using the speaker while plugged into a power source as I use it during my shift. The 4 hour powered up time is a disappointment for me, but I'll just work around that by using the 2nd battery that came with the product. I don't see this as a huge deal breaker; just an fyi for you. The speaker is not a very loud speaker so I have to use it at full loudness. I work in an environment that has a loud background din (I drive a bus) Maybe this drains the battery faster ? Possible. Maybe I'll buy another set so that I can have enough batteries available in rotation - in use, and under recharging - maybe;Overall, I am satisfied with the product. My 4 star review, might be too generous, but it reflects more that I am satisfied that I have a battery for my portable speaker and that I don't have to buy another speaker. What p*sses me off really, is portable speakers today do not have customer replaceable batteries; the batteries in today's portable speaker offerings last just about 3 years. - then you end up with an expensive paper weight. So I refuse to spend $200 or more for a very decent sounding JBL speaker only to have to trash it when the battery dies in 3 years.________________________________________________________________________This is another review after having had these batteries in service for two weeks now.I have completed the manufacturer's break in period that requires several full discharge and recharge cycles. On battery power alone, my quite modest portable speaker will operate from 2 to 4 hours depending upon the quality of the recharge. So to get any satisfaction using your device, you will need to have two batteries fully charged to get any time using your device. With the charger that came with this set of batteries, it takes a very long time to recharge. While I have not stood around watching and timing it, by overnight and the next day the batteries appear to be fully charged evidenced by the blue light on the charger. (Pink light when they are weak). On my most recent experience using my portable speaker, I loaded a fully charged battery into my speaker and attached the speaker to a power source using a standard "cigarette lighter" adapter, which is my customary method of using this speaker. I got a full 8 hours of usage from my portable speaker powered up in this fashion; The original stock battery that came with the speaker operated and functioned in this same manner, that is connected to a power source.Comparing these batteries to the original stock battery, I am getting on par, a very similar performance experience. My original stock battery lasted me 3 years. Maybe these new batteries will yield 3 years.... I'll let you know in 3 years..... meanwhile, I will stick with my 4 star review, as I cannot truthfully find anything bad about them so far ..... or anything particularly outstanding The batteries come with battery charger too.... so that allows me to sustain my rating.
