As a person with long hair, my drain has a tendency to get clogged. I really do not enjoy running the snake down the drain every couple of months, so I thought this could be a good solution. It was extremely easy to install. Really, not even install. I just took out the old, ineffective hair trap and dropped this right on the drain. That was it. The hair catching area is fairly small, so I will need to empty it more frequently, but it is very easy to. Just pop it out and remove the plunger, pull out the hair, and put the plunger back. It's also a lot less gross than a longer accumulation tends to be.

This is actually awesome! Our drain gets clogged with hair often (3 females with long hair using the sink daily) and it was pretty annoying. I was able to install this myself and I am not really all that handy so if I can do it, anyone can! I simply pulled up the old stopper, cleaned the sink, pressed the base into the existing drain, checked the fit and realized I needed a different sized gasket, which they included, and after making that adjustment, it fit perfectly and was water-tight. The stopper presses up and down easily and it catches everything so cleaning it out is a total breeze. I put a brush-load of hair down the sink to test it (nervously lol) and it didn't clog and caught every hair. I'm quite certain if I dropped jewelry down into it that it would catch this as well. Easy to install and it functions just as it should. Plus it's shiny chrome and matches my faucet better than the old one did. I think this is a great buy.

This item is very well made. As others have mentioned, it is made of good quality materials, and actually works as well! Installation was quick and simple. It came with three silicone gaskets, but the one that was on it when it arrived worked for my bath tub. I put a little bit of water in it to see if it held water, and when I cam back a few hours later, the water was still there. I put it to full use this morning and it worked 100% as it should. I didn't notice a change in how long it took to drain the water, it did catch the hair as it described, and it was simple to clean it out. I'm very satisfied with this purchase and may possibly order another for our other bathroom.

I picked this up to replace a grungy drop-in sink drain that I use primarily to avoid dropping something down the drain. I was hoping this would make a good replacement but it does not fit in the drain due to being too large. Otherwise, the product appears to be well made.

I have an old home and finding things that fit is sometimes hard. This drain cover fit perfectly. Given the design, it can fit in so many sized drains while still doing it's job. Since it really just sits on top, I wasn't too optimistic about it's ability to hold water in the tub but I closed the drain, turned on the faucet, and I didn't see any water loss. With a simple push, the functionality of this cover is super easy. I also have very long hair so I appreciate the catch basin and how easy it is to remove for easy cleanup. I'll be ordering a second one for my other bathroom.

Good product. Simple, easy to install. Great replacement for standard stopper. I would recommend this. Great for preventing hair from clogging your drain.

Solid construction, but does not stop water from draining. Would work fine to keep hair out of your drain, but don't expect to be able to fill your tub with this installed.
