This air cleaner is perfect according to my wife. When cooking she fires it up and it cleans the air in kitchen very quickly. Very easy to use.

The base boost fits my wireless portable Air Hood perfectly. As other reviews have mentioned, you could use any household item to lift the Air Hood, but I wanted it to look good and match the cool orange color.I cook primarily with either a portable induction cooktop or an electric skillet, so I definitely need the extra height the base boost provides in order for the Air Hood to do the job properly. To me, it’s functional, was worth the money, seems to be of good quality, and is easy to wipe clean

I consider this a fix of a design flaw in the Air Hood.Instead of improving the height of the Air Hood, I find it unconscionable that the manufacturer would profit from the design flaw by having the consumer pay extra for another gadget as the cure. If I hadn't returned the Air Hood itself (See my review of the Air Hood, which is also being returned), I would have returned this gadget anyway as an unnecessary expense. I could have achieved the same thing using an upside-down anti-tip mug, or something else from my kitchen cupboard in its place, secured with 'earthquake goop' to raise the height.However, if you're happy with the Air Hood and prefer the aesthetics of a matching height booster, I don't think you'll be dissapointed--which is why I gave it a 'meh' 3-star rating.
