This posture correcting back brace offers a nice adjustment range looks like it should hold up well in use. While the main target is posture correcting, I probably wouldn't use this as a back brace for lifting heavy objects as it's not made for that usecase. For the lighter use of correcting your posture or sitting upright better, it should do the trick well.

I do not have any back problems however after a good workout or long day in the garden I am aching far more than I should be! For me four stars is something that meets expectations and this met my expectations. At the time of the order this was $39.99 which I feel is fair.Initially I got a weightlifting belt which helped but was too narrow and stiff. Especially in the garden I needed flexibility and a better range of motion.I like this brace, it is wide enough to give my core and lower back support. Recently I spent five hours in the garden with some pretty long stints up, down, digging, planting, etc. The brace lasted the day, occasionally I would tighten or loosen the belt based on how I was feeling. At the end of the day I can say this definitely saved me from major aches and potentially straining myself. The brace reminded me to watch my posture and protected me from over extending. Happy with it!

I have a lot of back problems and it doesn't take long after I start doing something strenuous for my back to start hurting. Then I have to rest for 15 minutes and start again. I bought this brace hoping it would help avoid the work-sit-work-sit problem and it has! Of course it hasn't magically healed my back, but it adds enough support that I can go as long as 45 mins to an hour before I have to rest. It also helps keep my posture correct and avoid slumping. I'm truly happy with this item.

I've worn back braces for many years having had 3 major back surgeries (fused from T4-S1). Doing anything that puts a strain on my back or even walking the dog any kind of distance requires it, and I know that the quality varies greatly and not all braces are created equal. I've found a good one for myself, but my husband has developed back issues over the last few years and needs one as well.I purchased one for him a couple of years ago but it wasn't very well made and fit wasn't quite right. Needless to say he won't wear it. My hope is that he will actually use this one. It's very well made and of excellent quality. Support stays in all the right places and the elastic is strong with just the right amount of give for support and secure fit. The Velcro is very strong and there's plenty of it. Great for fit and adjustable for just the right compression. He measures 43" at the waist but I went a size up (room for expansion) and got the 3XL/4XL, 45-53" and it fits him perfectly.The suspender straps are a nice feature but we removed them. They're nice to have though in case they're needed later. I highly recommend this back brace, and for the price ($39.99 at time of review) it's a bargain!

I bought this brace because if had the extra straps to hold the brace away from your arm pits. But those braces do not come forward enough to help a 2X woman.
