This grappling hook is convenient to have and easy to carry around. I love the fact that the claws lock into both opened and closed positions. The end of each claw, though, is very sharp and should be handled with extreme care to avoid injury. The welds used in manufacturing the grappler appear to be very robust! The weight is ideal for throwing long distances and the eye at the end can accommodate up to 16mm line. The only thing that I do not like is the lack of a secondary eye at the top of the hook, so that a light messenger line can be attached to release the hook when required.

It is really cool and is actually useful. I used it to pull limbs from my pond that fell during a recent storm.

I used it to hook tree limbs, to pull down trees. I tied the line to my tractor, and pulled on the trees. I had to take a run with the tractor, and the grapple had no problem dealing with the excess strain.

This is actually a really cool grappling hook. I knew it folded, but wasn't sure how. This is actually really cool, and works great. This is a great design. It can be folded up small when you don't need it, and then opened up into a great size when you do. It is very easy to open, and close. The anchor arms rotate around the threaded post. So simply spin it one way to unlock, and then the other way to lock. Once opened it is very secure, and will not fold back up on you. The whole thing seems to be very well made, at a great materials. Strong enough Steel to be around for a long time, with proper maintenance and storage. It is a great size, and very lightweight. Small enough to be packed with you and forgotten about, until you need it. Overall, this is a great product, at a great price. Works exactly as it should, and even looks pretty cool. Great quality, great design. Highly recommended.
