I use this headset for general a/v events and drama/theater events. I have around 10 mics and so far after 5 hears none have ever failed or had a shorted cable. The headsets stay put well on your head and the double earhook design is one of the best I've found. Although some people find it a little tight for bigger heads. Its frame is a little stiffer to bend into a different shape but it can be bent to accommodate a wide head. The mic stem has a nice gooseneck construction that behaves well for positioning. It's an Omni directional so you've got to watch your gain structure and EQ settings to get the most out of the mic in a live PA situation, but it can be made to sound very good if you have good skills with EQ and gain structure. As mentioned in another review, it can disort with a a loud vocal transient. Not so good for a strong singer for the same reason. I can still get a good result for singing by turning the gain down on the microphone beltpack. Then the mic is less likely to disort with a loud signal. The price can't be beat for the durability and sound quality you get.

This mic is awesome way better than shure head mic that my system came with. I was pretty disappointed with shure, the took alot of short cuts with their head set mic. I would recommend this mic is awesome.

Our production company does a lot of theater and this headset does very well. You can clip or distort the capsule with a very loud person, it doesn't matter the setting of the body pak transmitter or receiver. But for less than 60.00It is a good deal
