The product I received is not the same as what’s pictured on Amazon. I purchased it because I wanted an all black brake lever. Turns out it doesn’t have the raised “Avid” logo in black as pictured - It’s a white/grey logo graphic instead.That being said it works well, as expected.Seller needs to update the pictures.

This is my go to everytime if I need a lever, it’s universal so you can use it for left or right the Quality of the lever is phenomenal for the money it’s a absolute steal I would recommend 110%

I was actually looking for another name brand lever to match the rest of the brakes on my son's (kink) bmx ...but its in back order.I was just going to buy this to hold him over. But the quality seems better than I had expected and the colors match. Worth it.

Purchased these to update to a set of Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes. I had some very old Magura Julies that required a lot of maintenance so I decided to go mechanical plus I really liked the on brake adjustability of the BB7 discs. Very much like the fact that these are ambidirectional L/R use so they can be used on either side. The lever action is what you would expect from a mechanical brake handle and the ergonomics works for me because the brake handles are small and don't get in the way. I ride MTN bikes and wear gloves so that is important for me so I don't get caught up in the space between handle and lever. Mechanism was intuitive and the installation was also simple and quick. Since you just position the brake wire thru the slit in the main body as the lever is pulled forward all the way which exposes the cutout where the metal nipple is inserted and held. The wire needs to remain in that slit in the main part of the brake body and then the adjusting nuts are then rotated so the aligned slits are no longer in alignment so the wire is now captive. Meaning that the slits are moved out of alignment by turning each nut so the wire does not slide out of position. I didn't describe this with the wire already in its cable housing but you can get the gist of that on a bike video on installing new brake cables. Great product and an easy price too.
