Put in 65 cedar posts with it and it's still doing its job. Heavy bastard but it works.

I'm 5 ft 3 in and 71 years old so I needed this to be pretty light. It worked well to install 7 ft t-posts by myself.

We pounded two 2" dia Al pipes into the lake bed several feet to install floating dock assemblies. This product is as advertised - fit well, good handles, no construction issues, delivered on time. but note it is very lightweight. We had 2 fit guys hammer the posts in place but without much heft, it was hard work and hard on the hands. For a 1 time install maybe worth it but a much heavier tool would make the job much easier...

I used this to help me drive a well point and well pipe in sandy soil. Worked great for that purpose even though not designed specifically for that. For driving the well pipe, I wish the opening was smaller but there really aren't other options other than designing your own. I needed at least the 30 lbs of this one and if there was a heavier one that would be even better. I'm not sure you could use this to drive well pipe very far in anything but loose and/or sandy soil though. Did what I needed and lasted to complete the job. I can't think of anything else I'd use it for though.

One heck of a workout, but does the job.. My only suggestion is on thin stamped fence posts, go easy.. one of them bent (5 ft thin stamped metal) . From 6 ft heavier stamped metal.. they were perfect. My yard is very rocky, almost every post was on a stone within a few strikes.. you have to be a little persistent, I don't know if it smashed the rocks or pushed them out of the way.. but everyone of the ~15 posts I planted went in. I recommend it but be prepared for soar arms if you are a desk jokey like I am..

This is the best post hole pounder that I've ever had! It's great for for getting posts in easily and quickly - even medium-thick wood stakes. And personally It can get rid of a lot of frustration in a constructive way just think -"I hate (fill in the blank)" - every time you pound in a post and you'll have your fence up in no time.
